With all the loss and grief we continue to experience daily, Oli has filled our home with such love. So I just wanted to share her picture with everyone at YT.

No, she hasn't replaced October-Oli has her own special place in your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss of October.

It is wonderful that you have opened your heart and home to a new beautiful little girl, and I wish you many many happy years with her. She is adorable!

She is so beautiful! Do you live on the coast, or were these vacation pictures? I think you made a fine choice -- she looks like a complete cuddle bug!

I think the common phrase, "Who rescued who?" applies here. ^^ I think you will save each other! I wish you both many happy years together. Looks like she has a wonderful home now.

These were vacation pictures - we had actually paid for and planned our vacation at the very first of the year in January before we lost our October, so I wasn't looking forward to going since October had always went with us every year in the past. But little Oli went with us this year and she really seemed to enjoy herself. Plus, my husband definitely needed the break :)

But it was difficult - it was our first vacation without October and our first vacation with Oli.

You are definitely right - Oli rescued us that is for sure! And we are so thankful for her. She is such a special little furry blessing.

Congratulations! Oli is a doll and a very lucky girl to have found a loving home with you. You will always carry the one you lost in your heart, but I'm glad you allowed this precious girl to show you joy again.

Hi, Michele.

I was happy to see little Oli's pictures!

No thanks necessary-we are both going through the grieving process.

I feel, Oli will help heal your heart. October will always have her very own special place in your heart.

Oli looks amazing. I'm not ready yet for someone to take over Minnie's stomping grounds, but I know I'll get there too and I know for a fact I'm going to need a sweet yorkie like Oli. The night Minnie died was the saddest night of my life, so I can sympathize with just how hard it is to bury your best friend. I couldn't sleep until my body just gave out after being up about 45 hours straight. But I know eventually making a new friend will help me just like I'm certain Oli will help you through such a difficult time. A dog's unconditional love is just something I cannot live without in the long term, and I can't live without giving it in the long term (just fills a different part of the heart then does romantic love).

Thank you so much! She is a real sweetheart. It is a very personal decision, the one to get another baby and when the timing is right. I knew that I couldn't live without another Yorkie in our home - they are such a special breed. No Yorkie will ever replace October or precious Minnie and that is definitely a hard fact to realize. It is one I wish we did not have to face.

It seems like I miss October more every day, but Oli helps me to know I can love again.

Our furkids are our family, they love like no other and it is so comforting to know that God has entrusted them to us for care and to reciprocate their love for us.

Losing our angels is never something we will get over, we will just learn to live life a little bit differently because our lives without them are so difficult. I never thought I could ever feel so many exhausting emotions at once as when I lost my October, so I know what you mean about your body giving out.

I know the day will come when you are ready for a new baby, you are a great Yorkie mom and there is a baby (when the time is right) just waiting for your love. :)
