They are so beautiful!!! Beard question: Huey's beard is nowhere as long as your babies, but it gets in his food and water when he eats, and beside the fact that it causes him to bob his head while eating so he doesn't get it in his mouth, it also gets cruddy looking very fast. Do you tie theirs back for meals? They are so smooth and untangled... |

My dog licks his chops a lot, getting hair around his nose in his mouth., it makes him look like he has a wet mustache. How do you keep the hair around their nose and mouth clean, or at least, out of their mouth. He licks his lips all the time. -Victoria |
As usual, your boys look absolutely smashing! Thanks for the tip on the snood. I found some on Etsy. Yoshi's hair is finally growing long enough that it gets in the way of the food bowl. |

To keep hair out of the mouth, I basically chase my boys around all day pulling it out. ;) It's not that bad, but I do have to watch them when they eat or have toys in their mouths. When they have chews, I band their mustaches, making a little pony tail on each side of the top of the mouth. To keep their mustaches and mouths clean, I use a warm wash cloth daily. As Lisa noted, you do have to watch out for yeast growth. Max's mustache seemed to be wet all of the time when he was a pup. We used a water bottle like the ones used for smaller animals instead of a water dish. Quote:

Gorgeous cuts Maximo! Did you do it yourself? I hate when groomers assume you want a short cut. Mine was shaved a month ago down to the skin. I was devastated and can't wait for his hair to grow long like your fellas |
