This blocks out all the outside distractions and lights and whatnot. Doing this, he sleeps straight through the night. Actually I have always done this with all the dogs I have had in my life. I would suggest give it a try. Put a cushion or bed in there, with a blanket and a soft chew toy. Make sure he has gone potty, give him kisses goodnight and tuck him. Then drape the blanket over the crate. He may wimper for a few minutes, but it shouldn't last more than a minute. It's almost like teaching a baby to sleep in her crib alone.
He certainly is a handsome little one. He looks so regal sitting on his bed. Like "This is my bed, my house, I deserve this treatment and no less!" hehehe |
