Tell me again why we needed a fur sister?

Today we rescued a 3 or 4 year old Yorkie. Her name is Mrs. Sassy Fras. She is the same size and Mrs. Beasley, who is a proud member of the Tea Pot club. Mrs. Beasley weighs 9.5 to 10 pounds and Mrs. Sassy only weighs 4.5 to 5 pounds.

She is skin and bones. She is not only hungry, but thirsty ALL the time.

She has been mated with a poodle. She has had three litters in three years. Her last litter was 6 pups. They are 6 to 8 to 12 weeks old?

Sassy has a very disposition.

Oh my goodness Jan. She is terribly skinny. Thank God you have taken this sweet little girl in. Her face is so precious. I know you will make a wonderful new mommy for her. All she has known is having puppies and not getting proper care. Now off to a good life.

I plan to be her forever home, but I have never done anything like this before. Always been a One pet at a time home. She is so sweet and happy. No more babies for her or sleeping outside. After I get her healthy, re-house trained, and a routine set ... I won't want to let her go.

I bet after the adjustment period she will be like Mikki. So glad to have her new home. Poor little thing. It is 20 degrees outside in our area. And she was sleeping outside. Poor poor baby. You will be her new hero momma Jan once things settle down a little.

Sleeping outside!?!? So glad you found her! She looks like a Silky. She actually looks like my dog, Baby. Who sometimes I wonder is a Silky! She's so beautiful and lucky to have found you!

I think she might be a silky. I bathed her when we got home, she is so soft. Her hair is fine.

That's how my dog is. Is her hair so silky gorgeous? Does she seem longer than she is tall? Does her muzzle seem a little longer than usual? Then she may be a Silky. I'm convinced Baby is. Even though she has "Yorkie" papers. But that's okay! That just means she's "standard." LOL

If you really want an expert opinion, ask carmenfromnj. She breeds Silkies. I asked her about Baby, and she thought Baby was one. I asked her to confirm my suspicions b/c I wasn't afraid of the answer.

She is skin and bones and "udders" (my grandson calls em like he sees them) Poor baby, the only soft spot on her is her belly.

She seems so comfortable laying next to me and Mrs. Beasley on the couch. She will be warm and comfortable now.

She has that little hair flip on the bottom like my dog! LOL They look a lot alike. Except your baby has a darker muzzle.

Yes she is longer than tall and her muzzle looks a bit longer than usual! She doesn't have papers, but she sure looks like a Silky. I think she is going to make a beautiful girl. Just like Rhonda's Mikki.
