Someone is PEEVED at her Mommy.... 4 Attachment(s) Hey guys! I know it's not funny, but I couldn't help but show a little smile when Katie Scarlett gave me the look she gave me when....I put on a doggy diaper. She had her spay on Monday and she has been peeing all over the carpets for a couple of days now. Now, in no way do I mind cleaning up the pee. I have been very patient and cleaned it up right away. I used Nature's Miracle too. I didn't get on to her or anything. But the problem is we rent the home we are in right now. I do watch her very closely, but I know she may have an accident that I miss. I don't want to have to replace the carpet when we move out either, so for the meantime, I bought some doggy diapers at PetSmart on my way home today. Katie Scarlett sat still and let me put one on like a good girl, but boy did she give me a look. I think she is over it now as she is playing with me as I type this. But she wasn't happy at first. I am only going to put them on when I cannot watch her closely. I will not put them on when I am with her or at night, but obviously I cannot watch her every single second. Am I a mean Mommy to do this? I feel kind of bad, but she is not peeing on the pad 95% of the time right now. She was doing so good before the spay surgery, but I think she may be healing and not be able to make it to the pad all the time right now. I promise I do not mean to be cruel. Am I an awful Mommy? I sure hope not. I do everything to make her life as happy as I can. I promise!!! I took pix so y'all could see the look she gave me. Is this a look or what? |
Oh no! LOL Look at that stink eye you are getting!! Bad Mommy!! :D |
You are a wonderful mommy! :) I actually had to do the same thing years ago w my Cricket. When she was a young pup and would go to my parents' home, she would have accidents. They were not thrilled. I would put a little diaper on her while visiting there, just in case. Of course, she got better w visits and we quite using a "didee" eventually. She used to give me a look too. Sometimes she would wiggle out of it, and my mother's husband would say, "the child is naked." tee hee For this short time while she is healing, I think you are fine. I would just make sure it doesn't rub at her incision site. |
Lol! That is so funny! I don't blame you at all! I have an extraordinary amount of patience...but my Peyton is testing it with his piddle pad training! We might have to try belly bands. :p Peyton said to tell Scarlett he doesn't care if she wears diapers! She is still the cutest Yorkie girl around! ;) |
NO you aren't a bad mommy Aymee!! She will probably regress and then go back to her normal self once she's all healed. I love the stink eye she's giving you in the first picture! Adorable... |

That is one of the best examples of "stink eye" I have ever seen :D She is incredibly adorable though when she is angry! BTW I don't think you are being cruel at all...much better to be proactive. |
