Someone is PEEVED at her Mommy.... 4 Attachment(s) Hey guys! I know it's not funny, but I couldn't help but show a little smile when Katie Scarlett gave me the look she gave me when....I put on a doggy diaper. She had her spay on Monday and she has been peeing all over the carpets for a couple of days now. Now, in no way do I mind cleaning up the pee. I have been very patient and cleaned it up right away. I used Nature's Miracle too. I didn't get on to her or anything. But the problem is we rent the home we are in right now. I do watch her very closely, but I know she may have an accident that I miss. I don't want to have to replace the carpet when we move out either, so for the meantime, I bought some doggy diapers at PetSmart on my way home today. Katie Scarlett sat still and let me put one on like a good girl, but boy did she give me a look. I think she is over it now as she is playing with me as I type this. But she wasn't happy at first. I am only going to put them on when I cannot watch her closely. I will not put them on when I am with her or at night, but obviously I cannot watch her every single second. Am I a mean Mommy to do this? I feel kind of bad, but she is not peeing on the pad 95% of the time right now. She was doing so good before the spay surgery, but I think she may be healing and not be able to make it to the pad all the time right now. I promise I do not mean to be cruel. Am I an awful Mommy? I sure hope not. I do everything to make her life as happy as I can. I promise!!! I took pix so y'all could see the look she gave me. Is this a look or what? |
Oh no! LOL Look at that stink eye you are getting!! Bad Mommy!! :D |
You are a wonderful mommy! :) I actually had to do the same thing years ago w my Cricket. When she was a young pup and would go to my parents' home, she would have accidents. They were not thrilled. I would put a little diaper on her while visiting there, just in case. Of course, she got better w visits and we quite using a "didee" eventually. She used to give me a look too. Sometimes she would wiggle out of it, and my mother's husband would say, "the child is naked." tee hee For this short time while she is healing, I think you are fine. I would just make sure it doesn't rub at her incision site. |
Lol! That is so funny! I don't blame you at all! I have an extraordinary amount of patience...but my Peyton is testing it with his piddle pad training! We might have to try belly bands. :p Peyton said to tell Scarlett he doesn't care if she wears diapers! She is still the cutest Yorkie girl around! ;) |
NO you aren't a bad mommy Aymee!! She will probably regress and then go back to her normal self once she's all healed. I love the stink eye she's giving you in the first picture! Adorable... |
you are an excellent mommy she has just had a few changes the last few days...who wouldnt be upset!! shell readjust. lol |
How horrible of me to say but...she's so stinking cute when mad @ you-keep it up! You are a wonderful Yorkie mommy, just like skin kids sometimes them being mad @ you means you are doing not only your mommy job but doing it well! |
you are a wonderful mommy my breeding girls are so use to diapers and they like them, I even put them on Prada which is spayed..LOL so she does not feel left out.. I think she will be back to normal once she heals completely. best of luck and she looks wonderful.. hugs, Carmen in nj |
You are a good mommy:) Android you haveofficially been stinkeyed:p |
If looks could kill..... lol. Adorable. |
So funny! Holly was spayed in November and she had the same problem. She peed on everything! It will get better! Hang in there! |
She is so cute. You got to love a Yorkie! Good Luck to both of you. |
That is one of the best examples of "stink eye" I have ever seen :D She is incredibly adorable though when she is angry! BTW I don't think you are being cruel at all...much better to be proactive. |
Ha hA... she really was laying it in thick wasn't she ? |

Awww. I love the first picture!! |
She is so cute!!!!!!! You are a great mommy. |
Oh my word I just love the stink eye look. She is just so cute. No your not a bad Mommy for using diapers. This should only last for a little while until she is healed. |
Thanks guys for all of your support! I'm so glad to know others have had to resort to diapers too. And update...Katie Scarlett is over it I think. She is loving on me now and has started walking like normal. I think she forgave me pretty quick. But boy that face! Tee hee! I love this pup! :) |
Haha... that is the best fur baby look LOL |
This is the cutest thing ever  I have heard of "puppy pampers", never seen them and I have to say, it is super adorable. I hope she gets better and gets to graduate to pull-(p)ups:p No, but really, hope this is just temporary and she will be back to her well behaved self. |
That evil eye rivals that of my 10 year old daughter... you haven't lived till you've been dismissed by a "tween". ;) |
Oh, the stink eye! She is too cute and I love that you were able to capture that "look." She cracks me up!:D |
She is so cute :). Yorkies have to make sure their opinions are known to their owner when it comes to something that they are unhappy about lol. That is exactly how Pao looks like when he is mad at me for kissing him when he is sleeping. Its like he is saying, "Mommy stop bothering me already!". Lol:p |
lol, what a look. funny story. I used to put diapers on Moka but she does't need them any more. She actually tolerated them great and didn't seem to mind them, never took them off. I would take them off at the door when she went out then put them back on when she came in. Anyways, she got so accustomed to them that she would lift her leg (like a boy dog peeing) when I put them on. It was so stinking funny. She loves getting dressed to this day, and still helps by lifting her legs or putting her head in. |
Oh she is cute !! Good mommy she will be fine. :') |
She sure looks mad at you but you are doing the right thing. Maybe you should invest in a carpet cleaner. I got one and it has become my best friend with me having all 5 dogs |
