I keep coming back to Gigi so see how the little love bug is doing. Is she being a little less scared around other dogs? Bet she's lovin' all the good food and cuddles she's getting from foster Mom and Dad. :) |
Gianna Went To My Vet 1 Attachment(s) Well, we took Gianna to my vet last night, that I use for my crew. She checked out great. He estimates her to be younger then I thought. He feels between a year to three years with two years being the best guess. She was recently in heat, but does not feel she's been bred. He gave her the clear for a spay, shots and dental probably in about a month. We are just waiting on her stool sample. Ideally, I think the best home for her would be with a retired couple or retired woman. Young enough to care for her. Would be nice for her to be their only dog so she could be spoiled, as she is timid, yet craves touch and attention. If not the only dog I would only reccomend her with maybe one other small dog, submissive dog. She shows know interes in interacting with any of mine so I think she'd be happiest by herself with just her humans to make her the center of their world, but I feel she would also do alright with another small dog that was submissive. Her favorite spot (And she found this herself) is on my computer chair. We are currently sharing it as I type. |
Oh she is adorable. I really do wish we were closer. I think she and Gizmo would be wonderful playmates. Bless you for taking such good care of her. |
GiGi looks so warm and comfy in the last picture. |
What an absolute sweetheart! Looks like she is right at home. :) |
She's a very beautiful yorkie. I'm glad she has you to love her now. |
Well, we found out a little bit more about sweet Gianna. Good news from the vet, her stool tested negative for parasites, so she is 100 percent healthy. Some more good news, she is basically back to normal from the accident, just has a little unsteadiness running up the steps. We put our gang away and let Gianna have time to roam the whole house for a few hours today. We have learned that she appears to be 100 percent potty trained, sits for a cookie on command, and loves to play fetch with Mr. Monkey a squeaky toy. |
What a luckly little girl she is to have you as her guardian angel. She should be easy to rehome when you feel she is ready. I hope someone will love her the way she deserves to be loved!! |
