Can I see pictures of "bigger" Yorkies (7 plus lbs)? I'd like to see some pictures of bigger than average Yorkies. Our Dash is 3.4 lbs at 11 weeks so we think she's going to be a bigger dog. I have no idea what a bigger yorkie looks like since most of the time you see pics of6 lbs and under! So...show off your doggies please! |
Riley weighed in at 8.5 this past Monday morning! His Momma was 8 and his Daddy was 4.... He was be 1-year old on May 12th.... and I Absolutely LOVE That he is on the bigger sider. I live right in the middle of the city and we run into a Lot of big dogs on our walks. I just feel more comfortable with this weight... He is Still Small enough to take everywhere.....And, More To Love!! LOL!!!! Here is a link to one of my albums. :) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...?albumid=11278 |

He is such a Sweetie Pie!! |
Honestly, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12lb, etc sized yorkies aren't that big. They're still tiny to to me. :) Tila is 9lbs, there are pictures in my album. :) |
Princess is around 7.5 and I agree with the others, I think these "bigger" Yorkies are still so tiny. I can't fit her in my pocket anymore, but I can put her in some of my purses!;) |
1 Attachment(s) here is my Tikka, also a lot more pics in my album! she came to me last sunday at 8 months old weighing about 7.2lbs, she was advised to loose a little weight, and it sitting under 7 now. BUT she is only 8 months and should fill out some more, I believe she'll still be over 7lbs after she turns one. She looks like she's 10lbs though with the lanky body! Also... I keep wondering if her hair has the ability to grow out all the way :/ as most 5month olds have way longer hair then her :( still love her though! |
I love the bigger babies :p More to love!!!!! |
1 Attachment(s) I skyped with my Gran in England this morning. (My Gran always had yorkies but at 83 years old (84 in July :) )doesn't have one currently cos she's worried about outliving it... I was telling her, and she could see, how big ZoE was and I was telling her how here on YT, they are referred to as "teapots". My Grand replied, "that's not a teapot...that's the whole tea service!" I've been laughing ever since :D. ZoE is 20 weeks old. She was 5 1/2 pounds at 19 weeks and it looks like she gained a lil since then. |
My Molly, in my album was 11.8 lbs, and the happiest sweetest girl ever. I have 2 5 lbs. ers and they are more skiddish and fragile. Also not so brave or social. Not saying but....... |

4 Attachment(s) Here's my Bijou and Barley. Bijou is 10.2 pounds and Barley is 9.4 |
4 Attachment(s) Here's my Chase :) He's about 14lbs. |
My Jasper is about 7.5 pounds.....he is still little to me. I rather like the "bigger" Yorkies...seen some around 3 and 4 pounds. They just look so fragile to me...and some of them are scared of little kids. Ours loves people and kids...at the doggy park, he runs to the people first and then checks out the dogs LOL |
4 Attachment(s) Max is 11 months old and 13.2 pounds. He stands 13" tall and he's 15" long. Cooper (4th photo) is almost 3 and he's my yorkie/maltese mix. He's about 11 pounds but looks big because of his thick coat. Attachment 343874Attachment 343875Attachment 343876Attachment 343877 |
4 Attachment(s) Couver is right at 7 pounds and he is my stocky lil muscle man. He is the perfect size for me because I can still carry him in his bag (with his sister) but he is big enough that I don't have to worry too much about him getting hurt. 1. Couver a couple years ago in his summer cut. 2. Couver wearing his fave camo sweater 3. This past weekend at the river. 4. In his bag at my hair appt |
4 Attachment(s) Jackson is 16lbs of Yorkie love :) |

3 Attachment(s) I agree with a lot on here...7lbs isn't large by ANY means  Yorkies aren't "BIG" dogs....lol but I know I like to joke about them being big too ;) Louie has a personality of a big dog that's for sure! He weighs between 9 or 10. All these babies look pretty darn small to me. He might not fit in my pocket but I can still put him in my bag. Here's my big Lou! That last pic of him squinting cracks me up! |

Oh.my.word. Thank you! They still look so little. I've seen so many posts about people being disappointed that their yorkies are not little - but they still look little to me! I have a 9 & 7 year old daughters so it will be nice that Dash is not so tiny! Adorable pics!! Thank you for sharing! |
1 Attachment(s) This is my girl Brandi ... a whopping 19 lbs. |

I love all the pictures of your "teapots"!!! I don't have a "big" Yorkie, Belle is 4lbs8oz at 6 months (maybe she'll have a late growth spurt) I remember the Yorkies we had when I was growing up as small, but not tiny, and a few weeks ago I asked my father how much they weighed. Barney was almost 8 lbs, Chelsea was close to 10lbs, and my grandparents boy, Buster, was about 15lbs. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures in digital format so I can't show you pictures, but they were (big and) beautiful! |
