I disagree. I think what she calls it is very important. There are a lot of inexperienced buyers out there and if you go around calling something a white yorkie that isn't a yorkie, people may not know better. It is false advertising IMO.

It misleads buyers into thinking they are buying something "rare" or something. It is a poor selling gimmick to refer to it as a white yorkie when it is nothing of the sort.

However, it is a very cute dog as long as it is referred to as what it is... a mix. I'm all for mixes. I have a morkie and I love her to bits, but she was sold as a mix and was never described to be an x colored yorkie because she's not.

Very cute. I love the term "porkie" haha. Looks like the ears are more of the pom, but that is a little yorkie face if I've ever seen one.

I don't see a report button for tags, but I feel the "white yorkie" tag should be removed from this thread. The dog is in fact a mix and not a white yorkie. I do not think it is fair to unsuspecting buyers to have this pop up on a search for those terms.

I am not sure if there is something the mods can do about this?

I am not trying to be a jerk, as the pups are VERY cute. However, as I said in a previous post they are mixes and NOT "white yorkies." I think it is wrong to represent them as such.

Oh, we had a little puppy when we lived in Houston that looked just like this and was absolutely an adorable grown dog. He was named Buffy and was our little star! Beautiful little puppy and it is like looking at little Buffy's puppy pictures all over again to see these. Thank you.

I feel it should be untagged. He isn't a white yorkie. He is a mix. He should be sold and advertised as such.

Again, I love mixes, but they are still mixes.

Semantics matter, especially in terms of mixed breeds. The dog is not a Yorkie. It's a Maltese-Pom-Yorkie mix. Call it hybrid, designer or mutt, but it's not a white yorkie. I'm pretty sure the YTCA, AMA, or Pomeranian Clubs would not think, although it's cute, that it does anything to improve any of the the breeds.

With thousands of mixes (and PB's) being put down daily in shelters across North America, it doesn't make sense for anyone to purposely add more mixes to the pet overpopulation.

Super dog, maybe. I hope her new owners love her to bits and spay her asap. But one of a kind she's not. Take a look at any shelter and you will find quite a few more just like her.
