I bought a pattern months ago for a dog bed, but didn't get around to finding fabric for it. One day while in Hobby Lobby, I spotted this gorgeous pink stuff...I don't know what it's called, but it's so soft and makes me feel good just to run my hand across it. It was quite expensive, but lo and behold, I found a remnant with well over a yard of fabric! I bought it and then found some fleece that would match. I sewed the one bed and even had enough to sew a couple of pillow shape beds with the left over. While I was doing the hand stitching on the one, Faith couldn't wait and she jumped up onto the bed and cuddled up. Once finished, Maddie and Faith seemed to love it, but Libby acted freaked out by it. Then, later that day, I saw her cuddled up in the bed. So, I guess they are all happy with my labor of love. Here's pictures...lots of them. LOL

I love your bed -- it is like the ones JenCar makes. The fabric is called "minkie" by most. It might have another name too, but that is what I ususally see it called. I LOVE it. JenCar made me one for Annie, and I keep thinking I would love one to cuddle up with myself! :)

That picture of all three of yours cuddled up together in the bed is priceless!!

I love it! It is so beatiful! I love the pics of your girls and their outfits! That's priceless. Charlie and Natalie are getting beds for Christmas! Shhh...don't tell....Santa will be upset. :D

You can just send her a PM through this site. Her member name is JenCar98. She will send you links to pick out whatever fabric combo you want. The combinations are endless! I really love these beds! You can curl them up as much as you want or lay them out flat. Perfect Yorkie beds!

It just dawned on me that Connie -- the OP, might be wanting to sell these beds herself as she has an online doggy accessory business. I hope I did not make a faux pas here by mentioning another vendor! Connie -- if you are also making the beds for sale, I apologize!!! I am sure yours are going to be great too as you have such a great reputation with doggy clothing! Just looking at the bed you made your girls shows how nice your work is. This just occurred to me as I was in another thread. My mind works, just not as quickly as I would like. ;)

I love it. My bed from jencar98 is in its way!!! Can't wait. It's for Sophie's christmas present. Hope I can wait that long to give it to her...lol.

Hey Debbie! No worries! I don't plan on making these and selling them. I buy patterns at JoAnn's when they have the $1 sale and have had that one lying around for a while now. With sewing dresses and vests, I don't find much time to do other things, but when I saw that pink "minky" (thanks for telling me that) I just knew it would be perfect for a dog bed. I stayed up all night making it. LOL These beds are a lot of work and what a mess it is to cut that minky fabric so kudos to JenCar for sewing these for others! If I didn't sew this one for myself, I would be buying one from Jen! I also want one for myself! LOL

I agree that cutting that fabric is a pain! I put the air cleaner on and still choke. If you fold the furry side in and cut it on the back, it's a little less annoying. Beautiful job on the bed.

Beautiful Connie!! Your girls seem quite content and very beautiful in their new bed. I could use one of those in "human size" ;) Sure looks comfy!

Oh Connie that is beautiful. I know it took a lot of hard work to make that but it is so beautifully made. I love the color combo. Your girls always look so put together and adorable. I love the one of little Faith with her feet up in the air. What a little peanut.

but i do have to say your girls are even more gorgeous then the beds. And that tiny one, omg, so precious. Is that Faith? I love her little smooshy face planted in the bed while laying down. And the picture of her on her back is so cute!!

I am so jealous of all the talented ladies on this forum, I wish I had learned to sew, I would be so proud to have made something like that with my own two hands!, I won one from Jen in the Halloween contest, I can't wait to get it!!

Oh my gosh, the beds are fabulous. What a wonderful job you did and I love the fabrics!

Your babies are simply beautiful and so precious in their matching sweaters, love it!

First off your girls are just about the cutest Yorkies I've ever seen!! The bed you made them is just beautiful and I love the material and the colors. I just love pink with brown anyway. Even though we have 11 dog beds around the house, I'd love to try my hand at making one like your. It looks a lot more comfortable than any we have here. Congratulations, super job!! :thumbup::thumbup:
