These may be starting to look the same, but until you guys tell me to stop, I'm going to keep it up. These were shot today.

:eek: Never, ever stop!!! Those are great! If you don't mind sharing a secret or two .... what setting are you using for that first shot?? That's what I have been trying and the book is making me crazy!!! ;)

Aww, you're trying to do too much too soon. Make it easy on yourself. If you want to shoot action, go out on a sunny day, set it on the "Sports" setting (the running icon) and that's all you have to do. The camera will automatically select the fastest possible shutter speed, which should be enough to stop the action.

If they're still coming out blurry, it may be an auto-focus problem. Try to figure out where the action is going to be, focus on that spot by holding the shutter down halfway, then follow your Yorkie until he/she reaches the spot you've focused on and snap.

These were a little trickier because it wasn't real bright out. I shouldn't confuse you, but you asked:

Thanks a bzillion!!! That's not confusing at all .... I am one of those idiots who has to learn by doing!!! Can't wait for daylight ... or the "sleepyheads" to wake up!! Maybe I could just set my camera .... get in just the right spot .... then scream "FIRE" and see what kind of action shots I can get!!! :yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm

EDDIE SHOTS!!!! I love em all! The frost on the ground really gives it a great look and he really looks like your average runner with his sweats on! Run to me Eddie, run to me... :D

Eddie's pics are never to many. That boy can run forever and ever. I wish our babies could do that with no boundaries like he comes out in those pictures, just loving his wide open spaces and taking full advantage of them by excercising always. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

The tough part is figuring out how to resize them. If you don't have the software, the above thread recommends a free download.

The avatar must be 75x75 pixels. You post it by going under the search menu and hitting "edit avatar". Then choose file. It will tell you if it's too big.

Posting with these messages is even easier, but again you have to resize. I usually go 400 x 600 pixels. After typing a new message, scroll down to "manage attachments," then choose file(s).

If you're still struggling, try PMing red98vette. She has her own instructions that newbies rave about.

I love those action shots! I'm going to have to try that, but it probably won't work with my camera! Loved seeing the pictures!

He is adorable. Nice, soft, silky fur, and a handsome face. I've seen lots of Yorkies with that look. Thanks for posting.

the one thing is when things get a bit out of hand on this site we always have you
