I was looking at pet dens for Gus' x-pen then thought it would be cute if he had a little house instead. I'm not the best painter but wanted to share the pictures anyway. He loves it...sometimes I have to drag him out.
The mice are Jaq and Gus Gus from Cinderella.

WOW!!! That is just so cute!!! Lucky GUS GUS...where did you buy the house? Did you make it out of a kit ( a do-it yourself kit) or did you buy it ready made and you just had to paint it and add a touch of your own taste. I really love it. What a great house for you baby. :thumbup:

I bought it online http://dog2dog.net/ (finding one small enough to fit in the x - pen wasn't easy). You have to put it together but that is easy. The owner is such a nice guy, he even called me to ask if I liked it.

It's hard to see but the picture above the chair is his mom. lol I wasn't sure what that was going to look like but it turned out okay.

I painted a sign on the back that reads - A house is not a home unless there is a dog in it - but it doesn't look that good so I'm not showing it. :cool: I like the saying though so I'm keeping it on there.

My kids wanted me to paint something in for each of them. My oldest girl has the cat clock (plus Gus LOVES cats), there's a diary for my youngest and the music stand is for my boy. :)

Monica, your Gus Gus would love it. I had to paint the mice. I thought they would be the most difficult thing to paint but they were the easiest for some reason.

What a beautiful house you have made and painted! Totally impressed!

Question to all: Do your pets like dog houses like this? I wondered where you put them in your house, and/or when the dogs like to use them. I really love the house, it would be so cute and so much fun! I'm not sure if my pup would go in it? She likes to be very visable so everyone can ohh and ahhh, hahaha. but I would love to include it in my lot of stuff for Laila :) Thanks for the advice in advance everyone.! :animal36

Amanda, an x-pen is a play pen for pets. You can use it to keep them out of trouble, a place for them to sleep, play, etc.

You can also get them in metal and different sizes.

LvLaila, I have the house in the x-pen next to my bed. I wasn't sure if he would use it but he really loves to sleep in it. A lot of yorkies like to have their own place to go. If he didn't I figured I could give it to someone.

Thanks again!! I just keep getting ideas for Toto! Our Condo here in Colorado is too small, but when I have the opportunity to spend enough time at our home in Alabama, I have an idea!! I have been wanting to re-locate her X-pen and reclaim my dining room!! :) I will order one of the houses and since I have plenty of room in the den, put it in there and attach the ends of the pen to each side of the little house ...[like a "fenced yard"]!! :cool:
