My very first dog dress EVER!!

Just got a sewing machine last night and tried my hand at my first doggie dress!

I made this from complete scratch with only a completed dog dress to use as a pattern!!

It's rough and uneven, lots of practice and learning left to do, but it's still pretty good for a first try!!

Wow, nice job and cute fabric. I have been trying to figure out how to sew a dress for the longest time. You have given me hope! Thanks for sharing the pics of your beautiful little one modeling the little dress. You are on your way now!!

Wow..you certainly do not mess around. Out of the box last night and sewing dresses already. My Machine has been sitting here since Xmas 2008, and all I have made are a few crate mats.

She looks adorable, you did a great job. Sadie has the smile of a mighty proud little girl with her new dress on that Mommie made.

Sure hope I can get back to sewing for myself, I buy store bought, come home try em on and take em back. I can never be happy with store bought clothing, I even tailored Jack's dress slacks when he was working. Made all the kids cloths till they got old enough to make their own :)

What make sewing machine did you get? It looks like a nice one.
Are you going to sew for yourself Rachel?

You are a very pretty young lady, remind me of our grandaughter :-)

wow, you did a great job. the dress is really cute. I started sewing my little guy's coats & shirts a few months ago, when hubby bought me a new machine. mine is the singer "curvy" what kind of machine did you buy? It looks like mine from the picture. Sometimes instead of hemming (which I hate, because you have to measure everything) I sew on matching bias tape instead, it is easier & I think it really gives a nice finished look. Here is a coat sewed for my little man.

OMGosh that is beautiful...You have inspired me. Maybe I will "TRY" :p to make a dress. I can't even mend a sock LOL I just throw out or donate stuff that needs fixed :eek: You did an excellent job. You should make and sell them here on YT.

oh thank you all so much for the compliments. the sewing machine was from Target, a Singer Tradition, for beginning sewers and it was only $70 on sale!! For all those that wish to try sewing, GO FOR IT, if I can do it, i'm sure you all can to! :D

Tonight's project will be a cute vest for a little b/f Sadie will meet this weekend. A friend at work has an adorable yorkie named Lucky, i need to make her get on this site with me :)

Aww thanks, so does Bailey, that picture melts me heart, i think the blackest soul on earth would let out a big AWWWWWW for her in that bow. :D

You are inspiring me to pull out my sewing machine too! It was given to me in December, and I've yet to pull it out of the box. You did a fantastic job. Love the material, and of course your little model is gorgeous as always. :)
