Great pictures, I love the way the background is dark and fades away, while the dogs really stand out. What kind of camera are you using and what kind of setting? Four hundred pictures, just think how much that would cost if you were using film!

ya gotta love the digital, you can just shoot all you want.

I have a Cannon Rebel XS I use the portrait setting. I have two clamp lights that I got at Home Depot andI use a tripod and as remote shutter release snd lots of patience. :D

Thanks. Beamer is my favorite to photograph, he is very photogenic and very cooperative, until he gets tired then this is what I get.

I've been using a clamp light too, I read that lighting can make the biggest difference on the quality of pictures, and one pro said that he'd rather shoot with a cheaper camera with great lighting than a more expensive camera with so so lighting. Tripod is always a great idea too, but it so hard for me to get Joey to stay in one place for long. Great job!

Yes I have read also that the lighting is more important than the camera. The clamp lights work great, I use flood bulbs in mine. One is an incandescent, the other is outdoor light.

I put them on a small table with a big pillow on top and have a piece of black velvet hanging from the wall and the draped over the pillow.

Well I do have a photod pronter, but believe that it is actually cheaper and better quality to send them to Walgreens, or walmart, then go to pick them up.

I won't be printing all 400 of them. I'll probably just print one nice one of each of them and save the rest on a CD.

Yes that is one of my favorites too.

I wanted to have one nice photo of each of them to frame, but there are so many nice ones, I might have to do a collage of each dog.

We have been playing around with clamp lights and background material, trying to get a better picture. But, your camera takes such clear and beautiful shots. Maybe someday....

Any other suggestions?

Thanks You. I got the camera on sale from Amazon for $409. I just have the kit lense, so nothing fancy. It's really all in the lighting, and having the tripod helps. I don't have a very steady hand.
