Jordy's just hanging out 4 Attachment(s) We had a lazy weekend, so I decided to snap some pics of my gang. These are a few of Jordy, my biewer I got from OKYorkieRescue last November. He's such a little love-bug. Pardon his top-knot. His hair has just now grown back out enough to put a good one in, but he doesn't like them yet. :p |
WOW!!! Jordy is gorgeous!!! What beautiful coloring, and his coat is sooo nice!!! I can't believe this baby ended up in rescue :(, but SO happy he is in a loving home now and being taken care of!!! I remember when these two Biewers were up for adoption. I can see in his eyes that he is a love bug ;)! The pictures are wonderful!!! Great shots! I especially love the one of him on his bed, with those little brown eyes looking up at you :love: |
Jordy is a very handsome boy. A Biewer in rescue? That's so sad, glad you got him and gave him the home he so deserves. I did read that the Biewer's has sweet personalities. No so tempremental like those other Yorkies:p Enjoy him and congratulations on this beautiful boy. |
Oh my goodness..I didn't know you got one of those Biewers...I talked to Keltz on the way home from the auction with the dogs in the car...He looks so wonderful now...and look at his eyes...Biewers are very special loving goof balls...Big hugs to both of you....I am thrilled to see a happy ending.:D |
Wow, adorable little guy. I can't believe a Biewer was in rescue. I think they're so beautiful. |
He looks adorable. I love the picture of him resting in his bed. :) |

Awww, thank you! He is such a special boy, I don't know how to explain it. He's just so sweet, loving & even-tempered. I love his eyes, too! They're so warm & gentle. But he really wasn't happy in that pic - that was one of his very first top-knots. We're gonna have to practice on those a little more. I wish I'd taken the time to brush him before I took these. His hair is just gorgeous then. But, it was the first nice day we'd had in ages & he was so busy playing & wrestling. I sure wish I know how his brother was doing. I e-mailed the rescue with an update last week. Maybe the brother's new family keeps in touch with them, too. |
Bonny - Jordy is stunning. What a beautiful boy he is. Thank you for the pics. Beautiful coloring!!!! |

His topknot looks wonderful!!! |
He really is a beautiful boy! I love his big eyes!! :) No disrespect to anyone....but, what do you mean you cannot believe a Biewer would be in rescue? There are all kinds of pups in shelters and rescues all over this country! I personally cannot believe ANY of them are, but they ARE! I have seen this before.....as if these pups are different than all of the other poor souls who are dumped on a daily basis. :( |
AbsoLUTEly GORGEOUS! Just want to dig my paws right into that fur :D. These pics are great, girl! New camera or not! |

What I meant in my statement, is that I can't believe a breed that is so new is already ending up in these situations. Yes, I am owned by Biewers and have fallen completely in love with the breed along with Yorkies, but I in NO WAY meant to imply they are any better than any other dog, breed, mix or purebreed in rescues. All dogs deserve a loving and caring home and family to call their own. Hope this clears up what I meant |

For myself, I'll say that I was amazed when I saw Jordy & his brother in rescue because back then I thought they were still rare in the US and very expensive. I've learned much more since then. I didn't apply to adopt Jordy just because he was a biewer, nor did I expect him to already be snatched up just because he was a biewer. My feelings were based on the heartfelt tug I had when I saw his picture, saw his sweet little eyes and hopeful face. When I went to Kelly's house to meet him, I picked him up and he put his little arms around my neck then dropped one down inside the neck of my shirt (he still does this all the time). I just knew then that we 'clicked'. But knowing Jordy & loving him as I do, I continue to be amazed that such a sweet, beautiful animal would be found in such horrible conditions. This last sentence is applicable to all the poor babies in shelters & rescues that you know too well through your work. |

I just meant that a Biewer is such a rare breed, it's not something you see often. |
Editing because I quoted Bonbon instead of April Love...anyway...... That makes sense....and thank you! Yes, it is very disheartening to see a relatively new breed already in trouble. Just goes to show you what happens to pups when they are popular. People just want what they think looks good without any thought at all about what they are getting into. Years ago when that Disney movie came out the Dalmations were all over the place....rescues were totally overwhelmed. As soon as yorkies moved into the AKC number two slot in popularity, their homeless numbers shot up. |

Up until a few yrs ago, I wouldn't believe that you can find a Yorkie in the shelters. But now, they're popping up everyday.:( |
