We finally got Emmitt to sport a mini-Mohawk. We can't wait till his topknot is long enough to have a full blown Mohawk.

Those pictures are adorable, what a cute style! When Joey started turning colors, his head hair went from black to pure silver/white. The roots looked close to his skin color and the tips, of course, were black, so it gave an illusion of him looking like he was going bald! :eek: This hairstyle would have worked for him!

I noticed Emmitts hair is doing this as well. His roots are turning a silver color while the tips are still black.

It seems that the dogs that do this, will have a wonderfully silky coat. Joey's hair tangled and matted a little as a puppy, but as an adult, tangles are just not a problem. By the way, Emmitt has a perfect little body too, it looks so square!

I have been wanting to do the mohawk with Winston too but I don't know what doggie hair product to use. So what did you use to get his hair to stay? I would love to know...

I used my own hair glue. It works well! You can buy colored hair glue too. He can lick the top of his head so I really didn't see a problem with using it. If I am wrong, please let me know.

As a teen my friends and I would use Elmer's glue in our hair. Of course you have to use a hairdryer to get it to harden but it worked :-).

OMG too cute for words!!!! Where oh where did I put Uni's mohawk pics??? Uni was the same, her roots came in very light, and we thought she was balding!

Where did you get the shirt? It's soooo cute!

I found the shirt at Target for $1.00! It is a little big on him but he managed to stay in it... LOL.

I meant to say in my last post, that Emmitt CAN'T lick the top of his head, so I didn't see a problem with using my hair glue on his topknot. I'm so glad to hear other people are using hair glue on their pups hair as well. I just love little mohawks on yorkies :-)

omGOSH! Emmitt, I think you have the solution to the in-between puppy hair! Honestly...that's the cutest puppy style I've seen, yet. Perhaps he's started a trend :)

He's way too cute. I've been wanting to do this for sooo long, but couldn't find a product. I never thought using human products would work. I might do that the next time we go out for a big outing and I want to show him off.
