Well - the wind is picking up - Chanel is LOVING it and chasing leaves all over the yard yipping and yapping like a little fool - Her new job is watching the patio roof - She loves hearing the noise it makes......and little Cheri wanted to share her thoughts on the upcoming storm.

I think the 3rd picture says it all :D

Ah! They're dolls! :p Do ya think the patio roof will hold up to the winds? I don't know how you manage a sense of humor, but it sure comes in handy at times like this! :D

I see Rita was downgraded to a Cat. 3. That's good news. And after seeing the clogged highways, I'm glad you're waiting it out. Good luck. Any idea when it's supposed to hit your area the worst and how long it will last?

Villette, those are great!! I am so thankful that Rita appears to be giving Houston a tiny break!! I am also thankful that, although it was kinda impossible to understand last summer, but God saved us from being in Lake Charles right now!! NOW, we get it!! It's just breaking my heart to see those live reports showing things & places that we are so familiar with in Lake Charles. We met so many wonderful people down there and all we can do is pray that they will be safe!! And of course, Patrick said tell you that we are praying for you, your husband and those sweet babies of yours!! Stay safe and keep your mind busy with these funny spy girls and lots of pictures!! ;)

BTW ... just listening to your TX Attorney General regarding "price gouging"!! If they catch people doing that there is a $20,000 fine!! Good job, Texas!!!! I personally think it should be OK, if someone is doing that, to apply that good old Texas law of shooting them!!!! :mad:

Thank you all !! I really think all the prayers and wishes of thousands of people must have been heard - and this site had many of those people....Everyone has been so great.

Yesterday .....I was really REALLY scared - but today....I feel much better - We are still worried but not worried SICK like I felt yesterday :)

Things are starting with the hurricane here - but Yipeeeee :D :D it WAS downgraded to a Cat 3 and that is SO MUCH better than a 5...We and Louisana are still in trouble with the winds and rain - but I hope not the devestation of the winds and fury of a Cat 5 - that thing was just huge yesterday - This is still a scary scary storm and we can just keep praying people in the eye are going to be ok -

eensor - I use Microsoft Picture It Express 7 - I think it came with my computer but if I have a disk - I can burn you a copy if you want - it's basic editing and very easy to use

Cooper keeps barking at the noise of our sunroon roof. He's not amused at ALL!

Looks like we may be out of the bands or get a reprieve soon. This has been going on all day!

Bettyanne - I so agree on the price gouging - I'm hearing stories about a few stores they've caught ....but the majority of stories are good ones - people are really helping others and everyone DID make it out of the city finally -

the ones like me...who are still here are just going to wait and see ...but the highways are empty here - it's so spooky... but we also know this storm will NOT wipe out cities or cause the catastryphy is was looking like ....Now if we can just get throught the next few days.... this will be a bad memory for most of us....

haha THANK you !! We just lost some of our Patio roof to wind - so poor Chanel has nothing to bark at ! She's staring up at it with this "Hey !! What happened here? " face looking at the big hole in HER roof.

Hey Kimberly - I know it's getting scary - I was outside and had to race back in - the winds have really picked up and it hasn't even hit land yet - so it;s going to be a long night for sure -

I just REALLY hope all those people looking for shelter found it...You hang in there girl - This is not as terrible as they were saying so we can at least feel good that we won't see devestation that we would have seen if this hit yesterday.

I just keep checking to see that you're still on...and okay, (well relatively considering who we're talking about here) and you are keeping me from work with the cute pics. darn. Those spy girls look fab even in a hurricane. I'll bet CC systems would love to use that pic in the advertising. They can be Modeling Spy Girls....and start paying for their own ribbons!
