Joey's New Haircut – Shaved!

My son got a new puppy about three months ago, and Joey and Rambo get together at least once a week to play. While playing with Rambo has been really fun for Joey, it took a toll on his hair, and it seemed to be getting shorter by the week. We decided to get a haircut that would show off Joey's physique, as well as be easy to care for, and Joey's breeder came up with this style or him. He looks so adorable, I can't stand it, but I don't think he'll intimate Rambo with this look.


I also want to thank Yorkiepuppie for nagging me to do this! :D

Joey looks adorable! I love the haircut. I really love it when you can see the cute little shape of their bodies. He's a cutie!! I know what you mean about the playing and the hair, lol. I cut Nappy down when Rozi was a puppy, she kept tearing at his hair :p Thankfully, she has outgrown that now, for the most part lol

What a beautiful summer do! He gets to stay cool with the shaved body, but we all still get the glory of his long tan parts! Really nice. I am going to bookmark this for a future grooming decision.

Joey is a little doll btw.

I just love the last one. His little eyes just looking at you. What a sweetie. Love the haircut. The tail is beautiful. My Trixie has a tail I love it. He will be much cooler now with his new haircut.

how short exactly is joey hair on his body? he looks like he has a lot of hair, doesn't look thin at all like you said it might?

Oh, Nancy, Joey is adorable! I haven't ever seen a Yorkie with this style of cut. It is perfect! Joey is so handsome, though, that I think any cut would be adorable on him. What a cutie!!! ~Joanne~

Yeah, I thought of Buddy when I saw this, I was so afraid that the shaved part would be prickly, but you said it feels really good on Buddy, and you are so right. It's like velvet. Thanks everyone for all the nice replies.

I haven't really gotten use to it, but I do love it from some angles he looks so adorable, I can't stand it.

I really like the looks of that cut. You get the best of both worlds. I'll have to print that one out and take it to groomers. Aiden is short right now,trying to grow his coat out.

Joey looks fantastic! Aww, Nancy...you'll get used to it. It's much simpler to take of now I bet & Joey will be more active. I recently cut Momo's fur too...I love it!

I really like Joey's cut. I'm saving a couple of his pictures (I hope that you don't mind) so that if I ever decide to cut Missy's coat short, she can get a cut like this. It's awesome!:thumbup:

That is so beautiful! I love how it shows off all of the golden colors and keeps the darker places looking soft and shiney. I wonder if this style would show off the curves of a girl as well as showing off the physique of a handsome boy?

Oh how adorable is he? About as adorable as you can get:)

Nancy, Joey has a beautiful coat and I think this style cut is especially nice for male dogs. Joey now when you go for a walk, you can aim and get it where you want;)

If he were completely shaved he'd even be cute but this cut is what the stylish yorkie is wearing. The Valentino look: per Joey
