stewie little's colouring i noticed in the true colouring of a yorkie is suppose to be blue/black and tan, from researching on the web, stewie has a fair amount of silver and what seems to be even white streaks as well, his coat is fine and silky, i would love him if he was even purple with yellow polka dots , he is 23 weeks old , weighs 4.5 lbs ,as soon as i figure out how to post a pic i will, also his ears were standing erect and still do but often down lately.

it's true that yorkies are "supposed" to be blue and tan but, Layla never got rid of her puppy colors- she is still black and tan.... his colors can change up to 2 years.

colouring He's 5 and a half months old and the black on his back is already turning silver, near the roots its silver, isnt this early , and a very thin coat, easy to brush , doesnt seem to tangle. Ace my last yorkie stayed black and tan , never really changed colours

At about that same age, my girl's roots looked silver too but actually, it grew out steel blue. Maybe I just can't tell silver from blue with my eyes when I was looking at her changing roots. Hope yours turn out to be a nice silk coat as it sounds like it very well may be!

stewie coat I'm hoping it does but he's adorable whatever way he turns out, it would be nice if his coat got thicker, maybe having a maltese beside him just makes me think its so fine, with hers so thick and fluffy.
