Those are some very cute pictures of you two. Weren't they taken inside of a car though? ;) |
Thank you. Yes it was on our way to trick or treat with my son. Once we got out of the car, there was no way I could get my son to stop and take a pic of him and Zoe. So I decided to get some pics before. :D |

Thank you. Really? In Ft. Myers I got hired to work at the mac that was opening in a mall there. I jumped through hoops and loops to get the job and once they hired me, a week later, I found out I could move. (My son's father and I had been battling in court over me relocating to northern FL with my son and He finally agreed) I was so upset because I wanted that job so bad.. I called and followed up on my application every day. I would tell them they NEEDED to interview me. I had very little previous experience but I guess my passion for it shone through. It's so funny because I tell people all they need is a good blending brush and they are good to go. lol :) |
wow girl... I have the same story! I was hired and a week later I had to move to rochester because of financial issues! I did the two step process the sit down and bring the model in... and the manager didnt even have me do the seccond look and hired me.... I cried when i left because it was my dream job...but then had to move jst a week later and I moved to rochester that doesnt even have a MAC!!! so yeah im workin at allstate...yay..lol not....yup good blending brush and primer! hehe |
Wow. We seem to have gone through the same thing. Sucks huh? It was my dream job too. there is MAC up here but we may end up moving back to SWFL and I'm thinking about going to the Aveda Institute. I may apply at the MAC there. See what happens. :) |
You both look gorgeous!:D xxx xxx |
I was thinking about Aveda...they had a audition but i thought it was like Avon...is it actually a freelance makeup artist job+ selling ? or is it just selling the products? Good luck on applying :) and im still praying they will open one in Rochester...or hubby gonna hafta reconsider us living in his home town lol |
Thank you Lucia.. :D Aveda is a chain of hair, massage, facial salons. Google. them. They have an all natural type approach to beauty. All of their products smell SOOOO good. They are a big chain and people open Aveda salons all over the place. There are actual Aveda Institutes where you go to for Cosmetology, Asthetician, etc. You should look into it if there is one in your area. |

One more tip.. If you live in a town that has an outlet mall, check to see if they have a Cosmetics Company store. They sell everything owned by Estee Lauder at discounted, outlet prices. They sell MAC and I am a MAC addict so I find that store to be a little piece of heaven for me and my pockets. HEHE.. |

As for types of makeup, I usually use the stuff I can get at the drugstore. I don't usually stick to one brand - if I see a colour I'm crazy about I'll grab it, etc. I don't really live in a town of any noteable size so I'll take what I can get I guess. I do a lot of internet shopping too if you know any good websites! |
deff try a brush because using your finger will not let the color stay well pigmented. And also try a eyeshadow primer before putting your eyeshadow on so it will stay on all day. I love urban decay primer potion, Mac eye primer, Mac paint, Mac paint pots. What do you like Jchirino ? Oh have you seen the E.l.f. Professional line? it has a eyeshadow primer that is only 3 dollars. Would be great for girls on a budget. |
If the tip of your finger works, then the tip of your finger it is. I'm sure a brush would be a bit easier and less time consuming. I love to play around with my makeup too. It's so much fun. I was out for work for almost a year and I would have no where to go in the morning's but after the gym, i'd come home and do my makeup for no particular reason. lol Drugstore makeup is pretty good now a days. I usually use MAC. It's an addiction. lol I use mac everything. Primer, shadow, mascara, liner, brow powder, concealer, Foundation, bronzer, blush, lip stick, liner, gloss.. Shall I go on? lol As far as websites, Really all I can't think of anything right now other than Ulta, Sephora, MAC. I always look on youtube and watch tutorials and they sometimes will say when websites are having a good sale, etc. You can go to Pursebuzz.com She does tutorials and gives reviews on products. She is great. So is fafinettex3 they are great. Check them out. :) |

Yeah I totally hate when my eyeshadow gets all caked and crap around midday. A primer it is!! I'll grab myself a brush too! I look up on youtube a lot about how to apply and blend and different styles. I really enjoy 'askmemakeup's videos! I really like the classic look! Man I love the internet! lol Urban decay.. great name for makeup lol I'll have to look that up! And ELF... /takes notes. I don't have many female friends down here since I just moved here so thanks for the tips! Much appreciated! (Although my husband does let me put make up on him once in a while rofl He has fantastic lashes :O) |
You are very welcome. Any time. :) |
1 Attachment(s) the concealor from elf is what i use for my clean edges of eyeshadow. I'll attach a pic so you can understand what I mean...does a perfect job for that because you really dont need a pricey concealor for just fixing the edges. The eyeshadow brush from them is great also I like to have those on hand. Their shimmer whipp stuff is great for highlight on cheek. Umm what else...now they just came out with the professional line that has the eye primer lip primer...acne spot treatment concealor..under eye concealor and highlight.... i would love to try them just because they are 3 dollars each... but for eyeshadows all I use are Mac, my 98 eyeshadow palette, and medusas makeup...for foundation i use mineral makeup :)but I am dying to try Mac foundation. |
WOW! Beautiful eyes! |
