Little Miss Abigail got a REAL haircut

Abby is 8.5 months old and has never had a real haircut. She's been to the groomers twice previously, but just for a trim. I've been battling with the idea of cutting her shorter. I wanted to because she tangles so badly and so hates the brush, scissors and trimmers. I couldn't even shave her little hiney because she was fight me so much as soon as I turned the trimmers on. I didn't want to get her cut because she had such a beautiful coat! It was so thick and pretty, I hated to cut it....
But, in the end, I knew her happiness was more important and after I saw Bella's cut, I knew had to do it.

I had the groomer leave her face long, with just a tiny trim. I also told her to leave her paws alone, but it seems she forgot. It matters not! She's beautiful and I just can't believe how really tiny she is :D

When Denise said the guys were calling Bella a bobblehead...I know what they meant now! Hahaha, Abby's head looks so much bigger than her little body.

Here's some pics....we had this done on Saturday and I'm just now getting around to posting the pics.

Yay! Another puppy cut lover! It's so much easier to take care of and I think they look just as cute with a puppy cut!

It is easier, that's for sure :) I love them both ways, long and short, but it's defineitly more comfortable for Abby with the shorter hair on her body. Is it still considered a puppy cut with the long hair on the head and face?

I "almost" wished I'd went ahead and had her face cut too, but that was too much all at once for Mama!!!

NO, DON'T GET HER FACE CUT! I love their fluffy little faces (Lilly has this same cut). I mainly got hers cut like that because she HATES being brushed and she would mat, she finally tolerates me brushing her head hair.

I still love the long flowing coats too but this just suits our tastes a lot better.

I agree! and isn't it amazing how much littler they look?

OMG! She is darling! I like the hair on the face left long. And it will be easier to comb since your starting fresh. She is tiny. How much does she weigh?

She is such a cutie pie and I love it. I love the shorter cuts but it's going to take a while for Bailey's to be cut down. He's so afraid of everything

The last time she was at the vet's office, she weighed 3.5 lbs, but that was 4 months ago. I honestly have no idea how much she weighs. My guess would be, between 4-4.5 lbs. I've tried to weigh her here on a food scale, but she's too squirmy :D I might try it again today because I'm curious too.

Awww poor Bailey. Abby really hates being groomed. I started with her as soon as I brought her home at 10 weeks...it has gotten better, but not enough that it was an enjoyable time for either of us.

I only left her at the groomers for an hour and when I walked in to get her, the groomer was holding her and Abby litteraly jumped from her arms into mine! :eek: She was stuck to me like glue for the rest of the day.

Daisy on the other hand is so good about grooming :) Thank heavens for small blessings :angel:

Awwww She looks ADORABLE!!!! Her and Bella remind me so much of each other. I love the cut. Isn't is sooo much easier and when you put clothes on you can leave them on for a whole day and no mats!!! yay. I think Bella actually likes it much better too.

I'm glad you went ahead and got her done. Her face looks soooo adorable too. and now you have a bobblehead too. I know when the guys were teasing Bella I said Bella tell them to stop, but deep in side I was laughing cause it was sooo true. lol

I wish I would have done Bella this summer. Would have made it sooo much easier at the lakes.

Again...She looks toooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had, had Abby done this summer too, but now we know ;)

Abby and Bella really do resemble each other A LOT! We are such lucky Mamas!

BTW, I gave Abby her first bath today since her haircut and she is a Curly Q!
I was trimming Daisy's hair on the deck and I was letting Abby play in the yard while I was doing it, of course she dug about 5 deep holes and got dirtier than she's ever been in her life! So, I brought both girls in and gave them a bath.

I didn't blow dry her, so I guess either I'll have to do that or she'll be a little shirley temple :D

Awww, thank you everyone :) Yes I feel like we hit the jackpot when we got our sweet Abigail and Daisy! They both have sweet little angel faces :angel:
MJ.... Abby and Jezebel both have those sweet little baby faces :) I will probably keep her cut like this, unless some miracle occurs and she suddenly becomes a silky coat, but I doubt that happens :D

Abby looks absolutely adorable with her new haircut! I love her new look and glad it is easier to brush. What a sweet angel. :D
