Layla, honest to God, comes alive at the beach. This is our Canada Day weekend (although Canada Day isn't until Tuesday) and we wanted to do something fun. We were supposed to go to Niagara-on-the-Lake however when we looked it up it was a 2 hour drive so instead we went to Grand Bend which is a real boating community and the kind of place that is just dead in the winter. Well it rained ALL The way there.. rained through lunch and then when we left the restaurant... it stopped! just long enough for Layla to have a BLAST on the beach!

1.2 Checking out the beach

she was so funny.. she would walk along the shore and cool and calm and then the water would come up the shore and scare the crap out of her.. lol... but it only got her feet wet.. and then back she'd go to walking on the shore :p what a nut!

Those are so cute! Layla is such a pretty girl and she looks like she had a blast. I love the little paw print picture.

Your beach is so neat! I love all of the pebbles! I have a really weird love of rocks and I always collect them when I go anywhere. I need some Canadian beach rocks!:p

well come for a visit!!! you'd always have a place to stay!!! you'll have to let me know if there are any Pet Friendly beaches in Florida! Layla would HAVE to go! all the beaches in Ontario are more or less pet friendly... and if they arne't.. you just stay away from "people' and all is well but i hear there are VERY Strict rules in FL.

Yeah most beaches here do not allow dogs but there are some that do. Can you believe I've never taken mine to the beach? I'm feeling like a very neglectful mommy.

Gracie would love it but Sugar and Spike would probably be scared to death. They aren't exactly brave.:rolleyes:

We love the beach. We go 2 to 3 times a week. We are lucky, we go where there isn't a lot of people and can RUN FREE. Layla is such a cutie. :animal-pa

Layla is so cute, and looks so good in her Canadian Bow on the beach! Wish you would have had better weather though!! Everytime I catch a glimpse of her on your avatar, especially the one in her little wading pool, it makes me smile everytime!!:) Looks like she has Grandpa wrapped around her little "paw";):)!! Glad you guys had a good time.

lol. you hit the nail on the head. Her grandpa would do anything for her (we all would ;) ) But boy she has him wrapped around her paw!

OMG the picture of her footprints in the sand is soooooooo sweet! You should totally frame that :)

Glad it stopped raining long enough for you guys to walk along the beach. Layla looks very relaxed and the last picture is so darn cute. I love how they just squint when they are tired like that. :) How wonderful that she has such a doting grandpa. Does he call her his "granddog"?

I loooooove that bow! Where did you get it from? Layla looks so cute on the beach! I haven't had a chance to take my Layla to the lake yet this year. You've just inspired me to make some plans to go soon!

There are about 3 pet friendly beaches that I know if in the Tampa area. I forget the name of one (lol), but one is Davis Island (an on-leash dog beach) and Ft. Desoto State Park's Paw Playground (an off-leash dog beach) :)
