Congratulations, Mom!!! Little Bug looks so much better already ... I'm amazed!! Please give her hugs & kisses from Toto and me! Thank you so much for updates on her ... I think of her often. God bless you.

I don't know what it is about Buggy girl, but I see those big brown eyes and my heart just melts! She is adorable with or with out hair! Those eyes just make me want to kiss her to death:D

aww yay!! I am soo glad to hear her appetite has increased and that hair is growing back!! That is such wonderful and exciting news!! Please keep us updated regularly with her progress!! She is such a lovely lil doll!!

This is one of the best threads I have read in a very long time..I poured over each page...Bug and ALL your babies are precious!! I have 4 dogs (two are rescues) myself and love them all so deeply..and I can feel your deep love for your dogs too..ohhh I have two cats also..a ragdoll and a himalayan (rescue) I think we really form a bond with the rescues unlike any other bond in our lives...its a special gift to be able to do that for another creature and I dont think they ever forget it. Sadie our boykin is 6 and we rescued her when she was a year old..to this day I feel she remembers her old life..Pixie our newest resuce (about a month ago now) has such a huge heart and is so bonded with me...she was very underweight too and now I am happy to report is 5.2 pounds..she was just under 4 pounds less than a month ago!! I cant wait to see more pics of ALL your babies as they grow and flourish under your care!!

just seeing this thread!

1) I hate that i am just seeing this thread!
2) i just sat here and read all 127(ish) replys and posts and updates on bug! She is a DOLL! Please don't call her that horrifying U word ever again because she is anything but that!
3)SO SO SO happy to hear that her appetite has increased!
4) she does look as if her hair is beginning to fill in. I do agree with an earlier post that she has very light colored hair therefore she looks 'balder' than she really is.
5) give her tons of kisses from me!
6) keep the updates on her coming this way!

I just read through the whole thread and had tears in my eyes. You are an angel for saving this beautiful and special girl. Her haircut looks great and she looks quite comfortable napping with her sister!!! Looking forward to more updates!!

(You mentioned not having a scale-I found one at Wal-mart for $25-it's a digital one for food, small, but if you set a tray on it before you turn it on it will start at 0.)

Bug you are totally cute inside and out. I just love that sleepy eyed face. You were resting so comfortably.

I am so happy to see you still here. You and Bug have never left my mind since your original post which is why I had to search and then bump this thread. I so hope you stick around and keep sharing stories and updates with us, her story has truly touched me like no other on here and I think you are an amazing lady for giving her the love and care she needs.

There were a number of reasons she suggested that besides the money. She felt that Buggie was so terrified just by the groomer handling her that the "end product" wouldn't be worth putting her through the trauma. She said anything she did to her at that point would look like a "hack job," because her long scraggly stuff just had to come off one way or another. Once it grows back out, and there's enough of it to actually groom, she will let me assist to make the experience less frightening for her.

So, I'm attaching a picture I snapped for you all this evening. It's not a very pretty picture because she hasn't had a bath since last Thursday. She looks even fluffier (a relative term, I know) right after a good bath, but I think you can already tell that despite her horrible hair cut, the hair on her head is filling in...or it could be wishful thinking:)

but i am so happy to hear that she is doing better, bless your heart for taking care of her, she is precious... i hope you stick around and update us on Bug... prayers that she soon makes a full recovery...

Absolutely! I am in love with precious Bug. I hope you continue to share her with us here on YT because just looking at her makes my day. She does seem to be filling in and just keeps getting cuter and cuter :)
