We're finally up and ready to share pictures of Evie's first day with us!

We left Chicago a little late... first our bank decided to change it's name YESTERDAY:mad: ... then my tire started going flat.. we couldn't find a gas station WITH AIR!! grrr..
ok But we finally got on the road at 11-11:30.

We got to Missy's at about 2:30 (3:30 her time)... and she had Evie all dressed up at the door the greet us...
my first though was "omg she's sooo beautiful!!" and she was so friendly.. she started giving kisses right away..
but omg she is soo jumpy!! wow!! you really gotta be careful when you're holding her!!

We went to get the babies picture taken.. . aww it's sooo cute!!! :wub:

Ok Jenn!!! Marco is such a little cutie!!! and he's such a little lovebug!! You are going to be sooo happy!!

we weighed the girls.. Evie was 2.14 ounces.. and Kayah was 8.14 :eek: but at least she lost SOME Weight.:rolleyes:

When it was time to go Missy started crying... awww... I felt so bad I didn't want to take her away:cry:..
but I assured Missy that she's in good hands. Missy told me that if for any reason I can't keep her.. to give her back (that's not happening.. we ALL love her!!)

Surprisingly.. she slept in Jakub's lap the whole 2 1/2 hour drive!

When we got home.. Evie made HERSELF right at home.. it's like she's been here for weeks and weeks!!!:D
I was so surprised how well she did... she went to get herself a drink of water.. went pee pee ON the pad:eek: :eek: ... wow!
then she ate a little.. played.. went in her x-pen and did poop ON her pad.. Ok I know it's too early to jinx it.. but I THINK she just might be already pee pad trained!!:notworthy (thank you Missy!!)

Ok sleeptime came and Jakub and I started to get a little worried.. but she walked around her pen.. messed up her blankie the way she wanted it.. and went right to sleep!

She woke Jakub up at 5 (I was dead asleep) So I told him to put her on the bed with us.. she snuggled with him for a little bit then came and woke me up with kisses and nibbles on the nose! (she bites.. and she bites hard)
She snuggled up next to me and that's how we slept till almost ten.

Kayah's still VERY VERY iffy about her and runs away.. but she'll go up to her when she's turned around and sniff her... right now, Kayah's laying behind me and Evie's cuddled up next to my neck!

OK I'm done talking... lol.. here are the pictures!:)

(please excuse a couple things... MY FACE in the first picture of Evie and I (omg blah!! I was so mad at Jakub.. couldn't he tell me my face was going in thirty different directions?!).. and the picture of Evie licking Jakub's beer.. it was closed and she was licking the water droplets)

That is so sweet, congrats! She is just too CUTE! That last picture is just the cutest. I hope her and Kayah get along.

Edith, she is beautiful. I'm glad that it is going so well today. Missy, hugs to you dear, you did a great job raising a great little girl.

Evie looks SOOOO happy, I'm so happy for her! I know she found such a wonderful loving and warm home!

I really think she made a quick adjustment because you stayed and visted for awhile. You held her and and loved on her and she just knew. I'm so so happy for her. I will miss her so so so much but at least you are not far away and we can visit and you can come here and visit! Plus I will still see her on Yt!

OH MY GOSH! Edith!!! I am sooo happy for you girl!!! :hug: I was going to PM you yesterday since I knew you were going to get her, but I figured that you'd be soo busy so I have been on the edge of my seat WAITING for the pics!!! :D Evie is sooo stinkin' cute girl!! That face is just precious, precious and MORE precious!!! :D You are going to LOVE having two!!

And don't worry...I know that Kayah will warm up to her in no time ;) Stedman was the exact same way when we brought Tatum home...he wasn't sure about her AT ALL and kind of had that, "What in the world is that tiny little rat running around?" :eek: look on his face LOL. He'd walk up to her, and then jump back and run off, HAHA! It was so cute :p

I just can't wait to watch little Evie grow up...she is going to be so beautiful :) And poor Missy...I feel so sorry for her that she was crying when Evie left :( I know that has got to be SO HARD and I know how much she loves all of her babies.

Aww how cute!! Im sure she is gonna love her new mommy...but her new mommy better keep them eyes open while shes driving! (hehe...im prob the only person who noticed that. haha!)

but she eats EVERYTHING!! she's like a teeny tiny vaccum.. I had this rolled up piece of paper stuck under my dresser that I could not get out for the life of me... she got it out in two split seconds!!:eek:

I was so exhausted last night.. I just kept begging Jakub to go to sleep.

She is so much more gorgeous in person.. and her little bark sounds exactly like Baby's!! but wow does she bite.. lol... her little teeth are so sharp!!! right now she's trying to bite the corner of the door:rolleyes:

Kayah sounds exactly like Steddy did.. how long did it take for him to warm up to Tate? how'd you do it?? I'm just letting them run around and stiff each other hoping I'll walk in on them sitting next to each other or playing together...

And hopefully when it gets warm.. we can drive out to Missy.. or if not.. I want to go camping with them after the KC meet.. or maybe even both?!!Either way.. she will get to see her here on YT

lol.. I must've blinked at the time or something...:p

Ohhh I would love to plan a camping trip. We will have to find a place and meet in the middle! That would be so much fun!

Congratulations! She is a doll baby, both of your girls are cute as can be!
I'm sure they will warm up to each other in no time and they will play and fight like all siblings do! They will love each one minute and have squabbles the next!

Well, from the looks of it I can see she has settled in her new forever home wonderfully . . .which is a good thing. She is quite the precious little angel . . . and am sure Kayah will eventually come around . . .give it time . . .

Wow, it looks like she is going to be another Daddy's girl . . . as she oviously is very comfy sleeping away in Jakub's lap . . . .now does this mean you are taking both girls to the meet-up? Oh I cannot wait . . . .

btw, I think it is time to update your profile now that Princess Evie is home sweet home . . .

Congrats on finally bringing your baby home!! She is soooooooooo adorable!! It sounds like she is fitting it real well.
Don't worry, before long Evie and Kayah will be the best of friends in no time, they just need time to adjust.
