I am so tired of this look 4 Attachment(s) I so need expert advise . . . . I am so tempted to just cut all of her facial hair right now because they have gone WILD :eek: . . .Do you think I should? Or should I continue to be patient a little bit more :( as I know it will eventually grow out. Gosh it is almost valentines Day and with this kind of look no one would want to take out my baby girl on a date :( :rolleyes:. I just sent out a whole bunch of valentine outfits to my retail customer but managed to sneak and try one out :p . . I guess she knows she is not looking too great these days so after a couple of "embarassed" shots she decided her back photo was sooo much better LOL . . . . can you blame her? |
what a pretty girl! if you are wanting her hair long, just wait a little longer and i think you will be happy! it looks like my hair when it gets to that shoulder lenght area! lol. i always want to cut it off but am glad when i grow it out! im sure she will be just as adorible whatever you decide! |

someone once posted of some stuff you can get at wal-mart or target...it is called Murray's superior hair dressing pomade. you get in the section with the "african american" products..it's in a bright orange tin. It is very thick, but I have found that if I just put a dab of it on my fingers, rub it in my fingers really good, then rub it on maggies face hair, it lays down better. I am the same way as you...trying to grow that stuff out and it is HORRIBLE. but this stuff works really good. the first time I used it, I used WAY too much :) but I am getting used to it now :) oh...and it's only like $2. super cheap!!! |

If it really bothers you, use a straightner with the lowest heat setting and straighten it out BUT DON'T CUT IT it'll just grow back the same if you do.. you're better off waiting it out. Kayah's does the same thing PS that dress is so cute! |
Who's looking at her facial hair with a dress like that on? What a beautiful young lady she is Des. Annika is always the perfect model for your wonderful creations. Yes, I want that dress for my granddaugher as well:p I would say it would be up to you regarding Annika's facial hair. If it bothers you wait alittle longer and see if you still get annoyed with it. It looks pretty long to me now and of course looks beautiful on her. She looks like the perfect Yorkie to me. |
I will add...I totally feel your pain..and I have wussed out and cut the hair on the bridge of her nose. I use the pomade to make the rest of her facial hair lay down...but the bridge of her nose is kept short. I REALLY REALLY wish I had to nerve to let it ALL grow out...but her hair is not very silky and it never lays down good. I just don't have the patience to do it. So...I am looking at Annika and thinking to myself "WOW girl...you have come so far with it....just let it keep growing." it looks like you made it through the worst part. just give it some more time...use the pomade..or something else like that to make it lay down...and before you know it, it will all be long and beautiful!!! |
NO DON'T CUT IT!!! :eek: If you do, you will one day by in the same boat again!!! There are several products out there that work well for the facial hair..... BUT....whatever you decide, she is a cutie pie no matter what!!! LOVE THE DRESS TOO!!! |

Des, she looks beautiful!!! Annika is such a pretty model!! I don't know anything about growing hair out and grooming, etc, but I do know a gorgeous Yorkie when I see one!!!!!! :) I love the dress!!! :thumbup: I think that is the one I ordered for Bella (at least I hope so......it is sooooo cute!!!) :p |
Im in the same boat with Chloe. She has crazy hair on the bridge of her nose. I want to let it just grow out, but she looks miserable. I dont know how she can see. I also think it is poking her eyes and causing tearing. I am happy with Zoey's face, and her bridge is cut. Zoey also has bangs which a lot of people dont like. Im trying to be good and not cut. I guess Im just trying to make baby Chloe a "clone" of Zoey's face. |

I think Annika is so pretty, Des! Please be patient and let her hair have a chance to grow! My two both get the bridges of their noses shaved at the groomer, and I've always wondered how it would look if it grew out! :) |
AWEEEEEEEEEE, I love it!! I wouldn't cut her hair at all, I'd leave it, it's so pretty! Love her lil outfit to, she's a bag of chips and all that and knows it I bet, lol. |
Annika bonita is just so gorgeous no matter what you say:p. I cut my girls hair around their eyes all the time just to keep the hair get into their eyes and cause some eye infections or something:aimeeyork |
Awe i think that you should keep letting it grow, Annika is such a beautiful girl. She'll have no problems gettin a V-day date, Copper says he is smitten for her and the dress is sweet too. |
Oh Des you know I just love little Annika so much. She is soooooooooo pretty!!! I know what your going through right now. I cut all three of my girls hair between the eyes and some on the nose and now letting it grow back out has been such a pain. I'm also letting some hair grow back on the ears that I accidently cut too much of. It drives me nuts but we're suffering it out. :p Hang in there because I know how much you love long hair and I think you'll regret it if you cut it off. Honestly though she looks beautiful and much better then the hair issues that my girls have going on. :D |
Awww Des, I think Annika looks precious! I feel your frustration though. Tatum's hair was doing the "loose hairs everywhere" thing too - and finally I decided to cut it. HOWEVER - I knew that I WANTED her face hair to be shorter to begin with...sooo, if you WANT Annika's face hair to be longer, then I say just wait it out even though it drives you crazy ;) And OMG...that dress is so darn precious! I love it!! Just too too cute and Annika models it SO well! :D |
Ah....Annika looks precious with her hair like that. :) :aimeeyork But it does look like it would be hard to manage every day. Since I have boys, I just keep Rudy in the puppy cut, which is no maintance at all. I think Annika would look good in any type hair. I love her Valentines dress that you made for her. Ok the first one is Maddie (I think she might have actually had more shaved off at this point...can't remember) Second is actually Sophie and Ryder's daddy, but I groomed him just like this (right before the picture...:) ) 3rd is Brooky up close 4th is Maddie again up close |
OH Annika.....this is just between you and me sweetie but I think your MOMMY is CRAZY. :p :p We think she looks adorable. Of course we see her little nose hairs are still needing some lenght to them but if you continue to cut them it will never be better so just tough it out and wait and soon enough it will be long again. :rolleyes: :D No matter what though....I have no doubt in my mind that girl has plenty of takers for a valentine. Don't give up! It will grow. I was in a car accident a few years ago and Lady had to be boarded at my vet's for a couple of months. I arranged to have a mobile groomer come to groom her and they cut her topknot off. I was devastated! Her topknot is part of who Lady is. :D Annika looks darling even in that "in between" stage. Besides, how could she look less than wonderful in that dress? |

Des she is soo cute, and she looks soo pretty in her new dress. I am probebley going to be sorry, but i had Rosi and Apollo shaved a little, because i could never see those pretty eyes. I do remember it took forever to grow them out the first time, mine got a hair app. next week and prob. will have it shaved again :eek: |
Oh she is too cute. We were to be looking at the dress and not her hair. She is cute and just bare it, it will be worth it in the end. You know how it is if you have your hair cut and then you are waiting for it to grow out. Its the worst waiting. |
