Warning, Cuteness Overload - Dixie in her pink shades
 

Here is Dixie in her pink K9 Optix that I just got in from TBC. How cute is she! And I'm not at all biased :D

I took her to the state flea market this weekend wearing these and WOW what an experience! At my last count, 32 people took her picture. And those were just the ones that asked permission, many people took one without asking :rolleyes:

The flea market is half inside and half outside, she drew such a crowd inside one of the buildings that the aisle got jammed and the vendors complained. It got to the point of being scary but I realize that people just wanted to take a look. Next time, I'm going to charge $5 per pic, LOL

Thanks to everyone who helped me in figuring out the size and color to get. I got the XXS in the pink as everyone suggested and it was definitely the right choice! Thanks Shana, Dixie loves them!

Apparently some members feel as though I'm exploiting my girls :rolleyes: So let me clarify a few things. Yes, I took Dixie out in public and I even brought Lily with me as well. And yes, I allow people to take pics because there's no harm in it and the girls LOVE the attention. And no, I am not putting them in danger because I do have rules. I don't allow them to take them from my arms or wake them up if they're asleep for starters. Many of these people are tourists or locals who just find it interesting and unique and I get the chance to educate them on the breed and on Yorkie rescue.

This area is known for having Yorkie BYBs and Puppy Mills. Many many people come up to me asking me where Lily came from and say they have been looking for one as small as she is. I use that as an opportunity to talk to them about how to find a good breeder to AVOID getting one like Lily. Once they find out how much her medical care is and how sick she is, they tend to listen. I even direct them to YT to help them learn more. I've even met some current YT members that way!

For those that are still concerned, well, I really don't care. So send all the nasty messages you want :tounge6: I know that my girls live the life of Pampered Princesses and Lily helps prevents people from purchasing BYB and Puppy Mill dogs. When she finally crosses over that rainbow bridge, I will know that her life meant something. It's not a solution to the problem but it's a start.

Awww. Dixie is adorable! :) I actually got to hold her back in April when I came out to KY to visit my sister who just moved out there this year.

And as far as toxic PM's....mean people just suck! They have too much time on their hands and are just jealous, cloaking it in "concern for the dogs"....if you don't know someone personally and how much they love their dogs and how well their dogs are cared for, MYOB and worry about your OWN dogs:mad: .
