Hi everyone!
I currently live in Allentown, PA but moving to North Carolina(to spoil two little grandbaby girls) for a couple of years. I own a three year old female yorkie named Rosie. She is the best! and I never thought owning a small dog would be so rewarding. I was used to big dogs growing up, but Rosie is my little girl. She was a gift from my daughter Stacy and the best gift I have ever received.

I'm from Central Pa too. Carlisle area. I just got my Yorkie this week, his name is Harley. He weighs 1Lb 12 oz @ 8 wks. Anyone have any idea based on his current weight what his adult weight might be. This is all new to me.

Welcome to YT! There's a thread on here that gives a formula (I think) for weight. Sounds like you've got a small one to me!

I read somewhere that you double their weigh at 12 weeks. This formula seem to have been right on for my Katie who weighs just double her 12 week weight. When we brought her home she was just under 2 lbs and is now 5.5 lbs.

Hi all!
We're new to the forums and new yorkie owners too! Actually I never thought of having a dog. I have 3 cats. But one day I laid eyes on my little Sadie and now we're forever pals! She is such a sweetie. She is just 4 months old now. She loves playing with other animals. Our one cat enjoys playing along with her. Sadie also likes to play with other small dogs.

Anyone from the Philly area? We live in Delaware county PA. I would like to possibly set up a play date.

I live in South and Central Jersey! (my parents house is in South....my apt is in Central). So I'm pretty close to Philly.

Have you been down to the pet store at Reading Terminal Market? They have really cute stuff there, and the freshly baked doggie goods smell great!

Hi LaLocal1. No, I have never been there. Do you bring your pup with you to the market? I love taking my Sadie with me, especially the pet stores!

No, never brought her in. I was too scared since they have all that food in there.
