| Looking for a Yorkie/small dogs obedience classes in Philadelphia area. Hello! I am a "mother" of an adorable 20 weeks old male Yorkie pup. He is smart, good tempered , and sociable. I am looking for a Yorkie-specific (preferable) or a small dog classes/socialization groups in Philadelphia area. We live in Bryn Mawr (Western suburbs of Philly) and there is nothing I could find so far that would satisfy our needs. I enrolled him in a puppy kindergarten, but the puppies there are big in size (my boy is only 2.6 lbs) and they overwhelm him. I want him to have fun and not be on guard constantly. Please help!!! Thanks! |

| Hi there! My Dunkin is taking a "petite pooches" class at the Dog Training Club of Chester County in Exton, Pa. He's 11 months, so I believe there is probably a younger puppy class too, but you'll have to see if it's specific to small dogs. I had the same problem ... Dunkin is over 3 pounds now, and he's still the smallest in his class, but the other dogs are much closer to his size. Also, Le Petit Chien holds play dates, and there were lots of small dogs there! Good luck |

| You can also contact Pabby's Pet pantry - that is where the meetups are held for Le Petit Chien. They have training classes, they used to have training classes for small dogs not sure what the specifics are now. The sister group to Le Petit Chien is Paw Scouts USA! Greater Philadelphia Pack (Philadelphia, PA) - Meetup.com . Karen the organizer is a certified dog trainer and vet tech, you can try contacting her if she can be of any help in assisting you.
