Oh this is so sad...what comes to mind is an overdose of anesthesia...did he use an injectable or the gas? I would ask for the vet to do a necropsy...

again I am sorry for your loss

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I was following your story all day yesterday and am just devasted today to her your Polly didn't make it. You have a long road ahead of you. Stay strong and be sure to take care of yourself. If only you could find a nursing female to step in and help you out.

We just put Ponytail Polly in our flower bed...I can always think of her
lying in the pretty flowers each year. I cant keep from thinking how she
was looking at me with those big brown eyes...they way her head was
turned...she must have been looking back at me for help in her last minutes.
I was asleep,a few feet away, on the sofa...if only I hadnt been so focused
on the puppies I might have realized. I think she may have gone into shock,
the vet didnt notice anything that indicated problems.

Hindsight is 20/20...I wont make this mistake again!!!

Sweetie you were just taking care of those puppies. Thinking of would have or could haves arent gonna help you now. Just love those pups your Polly lives in them.

i was so sorry to hear about ur polly i have been following ur posts and i agree hun dont blame urself u were doin what u needed to to take care of those puppies and be glad that u did . u have them now and keep up the good work souinds like ur a wonderful grandma hun and polly isnt hurting any more and those babies are a part of her tc hun my thoughts and prayers are with you may god bless ur and help u thru this horrible time...big hugs to you hun

I am so sorry for your loss. I know you must be devastated. dragonflysw is going through the same thing right now after losing her Lilly and her puppies are just about 2 weeks now so you could both really be of a lot of comfort and support for each other at this difficult time in your lives.

I am so sorry for your pain I can detect your guilt in your words. It has to be very painful. Once the shock is over and the babies are thriving you can sit back an remember her fondly.

May the Lord comfort you in your time of sorrow.
