| A way to remember... Ok I haven't lost a pup, well not since I was little, so I'm not going to pretend I know what that feels like. And I'm not coming here to give everyone the miracle cure or pretending that this is the miracle cure. But a friend of mine was telling me this the other day and I thought it was a great idea and wanted to throw it out there for everyone, it may be a way for some to feel better. So she said that she had kept some hair from one of her cats when he had died and she went to build-a-bear and made a cat and put the hair inside to remember him by. I thought it was a great idea, especially for little kids it would a way for them to mourn, but at the same time still remember their pets. I love the idea for everyone though, I don't know when you start missing your pet you could always snuggle with the stuffed animal. Anyway thought someone might like the idea, hope it hasn't been posted before, if so I'm sorry for reposting.

| I think that's a super sweet idea - I've lost two family pets in the past and it's a terrible pain (3 years after his passing I still often dream about our last dog Morgan and think about him on a regular basis). I think keeping a peice of them close to you is a lovely idea...

| Thank you so much, Tucker was my baby, we only had him 4 years before we had to have him put down, he had surgery but didn't help, and he was starting to suffer so we had to make that sad choice, but I had to do what was best for Tucker. He will always be in my heart. I have seen alot of yorkies that are name Tucker and I think its great...Everytime I see the name it makes me think of him and makes me happy and makes me remember all the love the little guy gave...

| great idea It has been many many years since I have lost a cat, dog..I have lost some guinea guys and rats ect, and they are truely missed, but dogs and cats interact more with you so the bond is a bit different.I do recall when I lost my cat of 12 years how the hurt was as if for a human, and when I lost my sister in 1993, she was 16, the pain was unbearable....my point is no matter who it is you lose, if you loved them you feel pain and this idea is a good one, something to hold, though not the same as holding your lost one, would give you a sense of comfort.
