Im so sorry for your loss. im so happy the other females are helping with the babies. |
It is absolutely amazing yet so heartwarming to watch Sissy and Roxie care for Reggie's babies. I wish you all could see God's hand at work here. Like totally grateful for all your prayers. I think someone has been listening. Through my sorrow a bright light shines and my heart is lifted. |
It's amazing how god steps in and just makes it all better. I'm happy for you and reggies babies. YOu are doing a wonderful job. |
I am so sorry for your loss of Reggie... She seemed so sweet and brave. You got it RIGHT when you said you will be with her again! keep the faith God bless Brett |
more "Mommies" With having to bottle feed five, the only way I can make sure everyone gets fed is to take them out of the cage, one by one, and when they are done eating, sit them on the floor next to me. Now the other dogs are trying to help out too. Even little Leo (now Dante) is cleaning the pups. I know Reggie is smiling. |
I am sorry for your loss. I just now came across this thread. I am so glad that the other dogs are helping out in the caring of the puppies. |
I am so very sorry for your loss. I too lost my brand new puppy this morning, 24 hours after I got him due to a terrible reaction to the vaccines he was given. You have my sympathies. |

Watch for pics of her babies next week, maybe even sometime this week, after they open their eyes. We're still working on names for them. So far we're come up with Star, Bella, and maybe Kitten. One of them sounds so much like a little kitty. How about some suggestions out there in YT land.......... |

It hurts to lose anything you love so much. Goodluck to you on the rest of your puppies and I am truly sorry for your loss. :-( |
They have names The girls are doing great. Two of them opened their eyes today. With the help from Sissy, Roxie and Dante, they have so much good care, much more than I could ever give them. My batteries went dead and won't recharge so I will have to get new ones this week so you can see these little angels. They now have names. Faith, Hope, Love, Charity, and Star. I don't know who will get what name yet, probably decide that tonight. One of them has a small white star on her chest, she is Star or Starlite. Beyond that, I'm not sure yet. Have to make sure I can tell them apart first. The girl we keep will be officially known as Garlin's Angle Baby (and the name). |

Villette, it did the same thing to me. I couldn't hardly type for the tears in my eyes. I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish there was more that I could say or do. |
So very very sorry to hear it...you are a wonderful momma... |
Reggie's Girls Reggie's baby girls are doing great. Sissy has pretty much weaned them but Roxie keeps hanging in there and Dante still doing the cleaning, although he's not sleeping with them as much as he was. Started them on some solid food today. Oh what a mess! By their second feeding, three of them really got the hang of it, even though they had to stand in the middle of the dish to eat. The two smallest girls, Star and Love still want the bottle, especially Star. But then, she sucks on her paw like a baby. Was hoping to have pics of them by now but batteries wasn't the problem with my camera. Bought two different sets of batteries, charged them up and nothing! Something is wrong with the camera so borrowing my daughter's tomorrow, if she remembers to drop it off in the morning. I so wanted to get a picture of them with their first food. They looked like they had been in a food fight. Everyone had to get washed after that. I have to put all the dogs out when I feed them or else their food would be gone. After they are done eating and start climbing all over me with their yucky little paws, I let the dogs back in and let them clean up the mess, and them. By this time next week they will probably be climbing out of the cage and I'll be chasing them all over trying to get them back in. Star is already very inquisitive and wanders all over the place. |
I am very glad that the babies are doing well . |
I'm so sorry for your loss. |
messy, messy, messy! 2 Attachment(s) I had to borrow my daughter's camera since mine decided to quit on me. The picture isn't that great but Reggie's girls are. Love and Star are definitely more picky than Faith, Hope, and Charity. Yesterday they started on real food. Oh My! I forgot how messy the little things can be. They now range in size from 7 oz to 10.5 oz. and are 3 1/2 weeks old. They sure have been keeping me busy. |

OMG!!! I love the names Linda!!!! |
We just came back from our first visit to the vet for shots. Dr. Ralph has seen these girls from the start, was with me when Reggie died, and today, he got such a big smile on his face when he saw all 5 girls. His first words were, they look good but a bit undernourished. Then he started to laugh. He was blown away by Roxie. I took her along to show off my miracle mama who's milk had to have been heaven sent. He said, God does work in mysterious ways. As he examined each of the girls, he would shake his head. Finally he said that it is so rare for such young yorkies to survive after loosing their mother at only 8 days old. Then he ran and got his camera to take pictures of our little miracle girls. Love weighs 1.2 lb, Star weighs 1 pound, Faith weighs 1.2 lb, Hope weighs 1.4 lb and Charity, my whopper, weighs 1.4 lb. Dr. Ralph was very impressed with them all. Although I miss my Reggie something terrible, seeing these girls grow up has been such a heartwarming experience. It's going to be very difficult to let any of them go. Watch for updated pics tomorrow, maybe even later today. |
I am very glad to read the update . Your puppies are adorable . |
