In Memory of Gigi Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve been on YorkieTalk, too long now that I think about it. YorkieTalk helped me tremendously when I welcomed my little diva- Gigi’s Blessing. It was what prompted me to make this announcement as I was just thinking over a life well lived. It’s taken me this long to post as I’ve been trying to just deal with her loss and not have a breakdown. I lost my Gigi on March 28, 2020. She was 15 years old and brought so so so much love. God, no words but just an empty ache. Gigi was born with the spirit of a warrior! She overcame so many issues: liver shunt (Age 6- Many thanks to Dr Tobias’ team in TN, surgery (Age 8 on both legs for LP), cancer in rear leg (age 12), and general age related maladies which we helped by having acupuncture and Ozone therapy. She was pampered to say the least 😁. It was the chronic kidney disease with acute heart failure that was just too much. She was my best friend and gal! So long my dear sweet girl! Momma and Cocoa Bear will always miss and love you!

Loss I am so, so sorry to hear of your loss! I understand exactly how you feel, as we lost our sweet, wonderful little Graysee to kidney disease on February 29, 2020! I held her in my arms as she took her last breath, and it was the most heart-wrenching experience of my entire life! She had only just turned 12 in December, but had become so sick the evening of the 28th, and by morning was on oxygen in the vet's OR, and I had no choice but to end her suffering, as there was nothing more to be done! We are still grieving, and don't know how long it'll take to get over, if we ever do! So, my heart goes out to you, and I pray that God will comfort you in your time of sorrow!! 😢🙏

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. But the other words I read in your post were what a delight she brought to your life. It is hard, so hard to lose those little constant companions. Most of us here know that pain. Thanks for sharing this, and I hope that your post here will help in your healing process.

It just hurts so badly to lose them! I lost my little Cocker a few years ago now, and it still hurts. I waited to get Katy, but so glad that I did. | |

Thanks Chad W! What you described was very similar to what happened to Gigi. She’s always been able to overcome ALOT of her issues to the amazement of her veterinarians. It was so very hard to let go but in my heart but I knew it was what I needed to do so she wouldn’t be in any pain. I enjoyed each day with my girl and I will always have my memories ❤️.
