| Lost our boy Codi We lost Codi on the morning of 11/22 after a week of trips to the Vet, and Emergency Vet to try a find out why his Kidney numbers were starting to rise, and the partial paralysis he was having with his front legs. The paralysis may have been caused by a fall out of bed 10 days prior....they found a possible Disc issue with his neck.....as far as his Kidneys, he has had elevated numbers since 2010, but this time it was out of control. By Saturday afternoon he could not hold his own weight, had not eaten in two days....the Emergency Vet said we could try to flush his Kidneys for the next three days, but said it is likely not going to improve Kidney function. We took him home with Pain Meds and tried to hold off till Monday to have him put to rest at our regular Vet, but Sunday morning, after us up all night flipping him from side to side every 45 minutes, and him only being able to follow us with his eyes, would made the choice to relieve him that morning. After seeing him like this...http://vid4.photobucket.com/albums/y...DSCN2137-1.mp4 ....... and watching him just laying there, we know we did the best thing for him. I can only imagine he is with our boy Frisco, and this is what awaits me when my time comes.....http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...DSCN0762-1.jpg Last edited by Beer Belly; 12-01-2015 at 01:51 PM. |

| My heart breaks for you. That is a terrible place to be in. Prayers for your peace and knowing that you did what was best for Codi.
