I am so sorry for your loss. These precious little ones ome into our lives and we are so blessed to have them. I wish I could tell you it will get easier, I loss my one of my little ones in June and not a day goes by that my heart does not ache for her. Take care and God bless. |
I'm really sorry to hear about Daisy. I know what you mean about not feeling as you have enough time to prepare. When Teddy was originally diagnosed we were told he would only survive a couple of days. The aggressive chemo therapy gave us two months, instead. We are very thankful for those two months. I can't begin to understand the devastation that you feel having to lose your little one so quickly. I'm happy to hear that your other dog, Teddy, is coping well with his sister's loss, and is in a sense offering you some comfort during such a difficult time. |

I live in St. Louis County. Glad to see another St. Louisan here! |

Yesterday I took him to one of his favorite parks and he was moping again. Just laid on the park bench. Then he met a new friend named Scotch. After several circles of sniffing each other, Teddy perked up and seemed normal again. I'm thinking seeing new things and meeting new pups will help him more than going places that make it so obvious that Daisy isn't there. Our vet said this might last a few weeks. It is so sad to see him like this. |
I'm sorry to hear Teddy is having a difficult time right now. I would think taking him out often would be good for him. I hope things get better for the both of you soon. :lovewings: |
Thank you Carol. Teddy Bear had a much better day today. He enjoyed the park and had a nice long enjoyable ride in the stroller. He ate like a little piggy. He had a lot more energy and he seemed happy. |
glad yesterday was better, it will probably keep getting better every day, and especially on those days you really spoil him |
I'm so please to hear Teddy had a good day yesterday. Getting him out and about seems to make him happy. You are such a good mommy! I hope you both have a wonderful day today as well. |
I'm glad too that Teddy Bear had a much better day yesterday. He was in my thoughts after reading your post about him really missing Daisy. I agree with Carol: you are a great mom, and I think with all the extra spoiling, Teddy Bear will adjust in time. Sending hugs to your sweet, beautiful boy. |
Thank you for posting. Thanks for saying I am a good mom too. It is good for Teddy to get lots of spoiling and attention. He will be 12 in February and being such a shy boy he kind of lived in Daisy's shadow. Now it is his time to shine and I think he likes it. We are all taking it day by day and some days are better than others for all of us. We're so happy to have our little "Bear" to lift our spirits when we are feeling down. |
