My Precious Daisy I lost my Beautiful girl Daisy yesterday to cancer. She was the love of my life and she made the past 12 years of my life the best ever. My heart is breaking. She is at peace now with no more pain and fear. There was no other choice but to let her go. It is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Now Teddy Bear is an only pup and he will be lost without his big sis. I am numb today and in tears trying to figure out how to go on without her. |
I am so sorry for your loss .. |
My heart breaks for you.....when we loose these babies, it is absolutely devastating and leaves a huge hole in our hearts. While nothing anyone actually speaks can numb or rid you of the pain that takes your breath away, just know your little baby is not suffering any longer.....you have taken on that pain from her....that is what we do as parents and pet owners....we adore our pets, we take care of our pet, we provide medical care as necessary, and when there are no other options, we take on their pain and suffering onto our selves....we release them from that pain and discomfort, and cover our own souls and hearts in their misery, allowing them to run gaily, pain free, at Rainbow Bridge....where they are young and free and whole and healthy, and they wait for us to come get them one day! That is a love and a bond that will never be broken........ |
Jean, I am so sorry to hear of Daisy's passing. |
I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. Just remember what a wonderful life Daisy had with you and your husband. She was truly blessed to have a wonderful family. I'm sure Teddy Bear will miss her also. She is at the Rainbow Bridge now just waiting to see you all again. God Bless! xoxo |
I'm sorry for your loss. |
Jean, my heart is very heavy for you. Daisy is at peace and will always be in your heart, but I know you miss her deeply. I wish you comfort in the happy memories of the 12 years you were blessed with your beautiful girl. You and your husband, and Teddy Bear, are in my prayers. Rest in peace, sweet Daisy. |
So sorry for your loss of your sweet little baby girl, Daisy. I hope you find some comfort in your happy times with her. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. |
So very sorry for the loss of your sweet Daisey, keep strong as hard as it may be for little Teddy Bear, he will miss her terribly and will grieve her loss. (((hugs))) |

I'm so very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. It hurts, I know. RIP, Daisy. |
I am so very sorry to hear of the heartbreaking loss of your precious Daisy. My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time. One day down the road, you will be able to think of her with smiles instead of with tears, and just remember all the amazing times you had together. She will be alive forever, in your heart. Big hugs to you. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Daisy. |
Oh no....Jean I am so very sorry to hear this. :( I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers... RIP Daisy |
I am so very sorry for your loss♥♥♥♥ |
Thank you so very much. I have a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes reading your loving posts. I am a little better today realizing that my baby is no longer in pain and she is whole again. It gives me a lot of comfort knowing I will see her again. It was just so fast we didnt even have much time to prepare ourselves for this. Teddy Bear misses her but he is doing better than I thought he would. We are giving him so much attention and keeping him busy. We are going to take him on a special outing today to Bass Pro and Cabelas so we can all keep busy. I don't know what I would do without my little boy right now. It is helping a lot having him here with me giving us so much comfort. |
I am so very sorry for your loss !! {{HUGS}} |
oh Jean my heart is breaking for. I know how much you loved her, I always enjoyed seeing photos of her in the pretty daisy dresses and hair bows. While I know you took the best possible care of her, the most unselfish act you ever did for her was to know when to say goodbye and you are right she is no longer in pain and I bet she is sniffing daises in heaven. ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) |
Thank you so much for your comforting words. Quote:
Thank you for the beautiful thoughts, Donna. I'm sure she is sniffing daisies in heaven right now. She sniffed everything. Everything that ever came in this house had to get the Daisy sniff of approval first. |

I'm so sorry about Daisy. I know for years I thought I could never do what you had to, but my little girl Minnie was just suffering so much and I had to make that horrible decision too. Not horrible because it was wrong, but horrible because the thought of losing my best friend in the world was so terrible. I'm so glad you and Teddy have each other to lean on right now, this kind of hurt would be so unbearable alone. |
Thank you so much for your words of comfort. I am so sorry you had to go through that with Minnie too. There was no question that it was the right thing to do. It was the only thing to do as you said. We got baby girl's ashes today. I still can't believe she is gone. Teddy had a great outing today. He is a very shy, nervous little guy but hopefully taking him out more will help him get used to car travel and seeing new things. He got a lot of attention and petting at Rural King and pets and a treat at Cabellas. The guys working at the front door made over him like crazy. Teddy seemed to soak it up. A little at a time and he will be a pro. Daisy always took the spotlight and he kind of shrunk in the background. I used to ask people if they would pet him too so he didn't get left out. Daisy would run up to everyone with her tail wagging giving kisses to everyone who showed her attention. She was not shy. I think Teddy Bear is going to be okay. I'm so relieved. |
So glad that you and Teddy had a good day. :) |
glad to hear Teddy is doing well, often pets adjust better than we think they will and then wind up loving being an "only" pup. It's so good you have him to focus and love on. |
I am very happy to hear that Teddy Bear is doing well. The photo you sent me of Teddy by the waterfall on one of your outings is truly beautiful. :) |
It sounds like you and Teddy had a great outing. :) He may come out of his shell a little more, with all of the attention. That is so sweet you would ask people to pet him so he wouldn't feel left out. It's so easy to see how wonderful you are to your pups. I can just see Daisy sniffing all over heaven. Lol. My dog Calleigh does the same thing. I wish you all nothing but the best. This is such a difficult time. God Bless! |
Thank you. We had to leave him home alone for awhile today and he did fine. He didn't seem as nervous and hyper as he usually does when we get home. I'm so glad he is doing so well. |
I'm deeply sorry for your loss. You will always love and miss Daisy, but in time much of your sadness will be replaced by beautiful memories of the life you shared with her. Daisy will remain a soft spot in your heart filled with overwhelming love. I hope you and Teddy help each other to heal from your grief. |

I am so sorry to hear about Daisy, 3 years ago I went through the same thing (Cancer) with my Didi. My heart breaks for you and its hard not to shed a tear for you, I can honestly say, I know how you feel, I will say a special prayer for you. I believe that someday you will see your precious Daisy again, and know that now she has no pain or discomfort. I'm sure that you were the best Mommy ever and gave her all the love and care she needed. She will always be with you. |
