Getting Cookie was incredible. It was the first time I was truly happy again after losing Minnie (it was about a month and a half later). The one thing I'd warn is to not get another pup until you're 100% ready, when it's an obvious decision. I started looking a little too early and then I had a nightmare I was holding a really cute yorkie pup but just didn't want him because he wasn't Minnie, and all I wanted was Minnie. It was probably the saddest dream of my life. But maybe 2-3 weeks after that nightmare I wanted another pup so badly and I knew it was the right time, and it was.

And thank you so much, but I do know how much they mean, because I was shattered when losing Minnie but the great people of YorkieTalk propped me up and helped me get through the saddest thing I have ever gone through.

Thank you so much for your feedback, my 20 year old son left our home unexpectedly about a week before we lost Heff, and we have a precious 14 year old chihuahua that has been taking medication for congestive heart failure for about 2 years now. I love her to pieces also, we have had her since she was 6 weeks old. The empty nest has hit hard, so with all that has happened, I feel I am ready for a new baby. I am so glad things have worked out so well with your new addition, I will keep you updated on the process! Heff will forever live in my husband's and my heart along with our senior chihuahua Tito we lost 5 years back.

My little precious Heffy went to Heaven this past Sunday night. His daddy was walking him outside and a coyote came out of the woods and got him with my DH standing very near. OMG !! So sorry for your loss ! You hear of these coyote coming closer and closer to home , even if u are out with your babies they dont care ... They're hunger and feeding their own pups ....
So sorry I dont have them here in Florida but when we go back home even thro I have a 6 ft fence I'm out there keeping a close watch always with something in my hand in care they attacked ......
