Thank you all so much for your kind words. It is very quiet in the house. It's almost unbearable. My husband is wanting another one right away. But I can't help feeling guilty for even considering it.

Of course it is your decision... Maybe take a look at a few dogs with your husband. I'm thinking he is heart broken as well. It's not replacing Presley, it's opening your home and heart to a new loved one.

I am so sorry for your loss of sweet Presley, no matter how long they live it is just never long enough. I remember seeing your videos of him with his HaloVest after he lost his eyesight, what a little trouper he was. Take your time and you will know when it's the right time to welcome a new little furbut into your life. I do understand how quite a house becomes once a pet is gone, perhaps you can leave a radio on our TV down low, just for the company of some noise

I am so sorry for your loss. I know there are no words that can comfort you right now but please know that we all care deeply and feel sad too. I also try not to read these post but when I saw the name my heart dropped. He knew how much you loved him and you were very blessed to have him in your life for 17 years. I pray that time heals your broken heart and when the time is right you open it up to love another just as you loved him. God bless!!

Thanks everyone..you have been so kind. I spoke with my DH today and he is so lonely its breaking my heart. He is retired and home by himself all day. Presley occupied so much time especially since he lost his sight last year - he was hardly left alone. Now DH has nothing to do. I told him I would start researching breeders in GA. There are alot to sort through. And, the sticker price on them has gone way up. I paid $275 for Presley (17 years ago). As long as its a healthy pup is all that matters to me.

I am sad your Presley went to rainbow bride. He is with my Teddy Peanut. I was brokenhearted to lose Teddy. I know his Creator called him home. I looked for awhile and got JoJo. That Yorkie has captured my heart. He is so sweet. I miss Teddy but Jo has really moved in and taken over. I hope you find the new dog soon. Presley will never be forgotten and now you will have another Yorkie to love.
