My Minnie Bear

Your Minnie is always with you in your heart and your memories but time spent with memories is sometimes so bittersweet because she's not there warm and beside you. You'll always feel her loss but it will get better with more time. The last time I really cried for my Jilly was when she'd been gone 5 1/2 years, I had had Tibbe for a while and loved him dearly but one day, I just felt her loss so deeply and just missed her little being so much.

I feel great now. It's just impossible to not tear up reading this thread again, because I think it's a pretty good catalog of who Minnie was. But yeah, I will never stop missing Minnie.

Sending you hugs as you approach the anniversary of Minnie's passing. I am glad to know that you are doing ok and that you have good memories of her that will be with you forever.

It has only been 2 months since losing Meika and I am getting better, but still have those times I break down. Five years with her was not enough.

I am crying so hard as I read your message. What a fine dog Minnie was. She will always be in your heart. Her little spirit will visit you and be close. It is so hard to lose a best friend. I only know that I can do that with faith knowing I hand my friend back to Jesus, who created her and allowed me to have her for a short time. We own nothing on this earth and can take nothing with us. Just keep those beautiful memories of Minnie alive and know that you had one very special dog in your life. Hugs and love to you!

I feel your pain as I sit here tonight with my sweet Lizzy gone. I hope it gets better for you soon. I imagine we will be crying a while longer. Thank goodness for the support of the group here. Warm hugs and healing wishes sent your way.

It has now been one year, to the hour, since I lost Minnie. Those were the saddest couple of days of my life, but I feel so much better now. Felt like I could never be happy again at that time, but I am again.

I still miss my first yorkie Minnie Bear, the girl who made me fall in love with the breed, and ultimately, fall in love with my Cookie Monster.
