Oh Judy...this is SO sad and I am so sorry for your loss of Gizmo. I feel so bad for you and your family. Please don't blame yourself. You loved him and gave him security and a great home and he knew he was loved. My heart aches for you and I send sincere and heartfelt sympathy to you and hugs too.

Judy my dear friend, what can I say? I am so very sorry to hear that you have lost your little guy. I remember when you first got Gizmo...the love and life you shared with him was and will always be so very precious. You will never lose that, no one can ever take your memories away. I wish I were there to give you a much needed hug. Please let me know if there is anything I can do...I loved him too. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I really appreciate your educational post that might help others understand the seriousness of overweight issues with their dogs. Pounds can sneak up so gradually and it’s something we all need to watch out for. RIP little Gizmo.

Judy, I don't know you but know that my heart breaks for you. Thank you for sharing your story and for educating some that my not know what sighs to look for...you have taught me something today.
I hope in time the sadness you feel will be replaced by the happy memories you had with Gizmo. He knew you loved him and he loved you in return.

I know you loved him as well. After you cared for him when my husband had surgery several years ago, we thought of you as his godparents. I am so sorry to hear about Gracie's loss as well. RIP sweet Gracie.

My heart is breaking for you and your precious little boy. I'm sure he knows how much you loved him and that you did what was best for him even though you are heartbroken. I've got one that is a little roly poly and after seeing your post she is going on a diet. May your sweet little Gizmo rest in peace and be happy and healthy with all the other furangels.
