I wanted to post this for everyone going thru heartache and pain over their loss of our special friends...and say how sorry for your loss I always am when I read them.

I think it's truly beautiful.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain;

Awww V. That's a beautiful poem! I love it and it actually made me feel better. I'd like to think that my Katie is in a better place and that she is safe and happy. I know that I'll be with her again one day ... I just have to be patient.

You know I was thinking of you when I saw it - I thought it was a beautiful way to look at loss...& I know it doesn't take away the pain...

but one day maybe.... you'll hear that rustle of leaves.... or look at a star....and feel close to her without crying.

Villette, thank you so much for posting that. When my Grandfather died in September, I was the one that picked the prayer to go on the back of his funeral card--and that was the one I chose, so it has such a special meaning to me. I've been associating it with Kelli, too.

I appreciate the tenderness and care I've gotten from so many people here. Thank you SO much for being the loving people you are.

Thank you for thinking about us. It is painful. It's been a month since my little Oscar pasted away. I still cry and miss him a whole lot. This poem is beautiful and made me cry again.

I would like to add my condolences to all who have lost their little ones. I have tried to post on them as I see them, but sometimes I miss threads and I certainly don't want to leave anyone out! I think the poem that Villette posted is so special and I hope it gives solace to those who need it.

I do yorkie rescue and lost two of my little girls between August and November and it makes me cry to even think of them not even had one Christmas to know what it was. Maybe remembering this poem when I think of them will help.

I'm so sorry...you're doing great work ...bless their hearts - losing one is very hard and I can't imagine losing 2

I really hope this poem does help .... and to anyone reading it and going thru a loss...I'm very sorry for you.

I had heard that before, but it's been a long time. Thinking about it in reference to Bandit gave it special meaning. thanks for taking the time to share it. You are wonderful!
