| Thanks everyone. I am doggy sitting this week and it feels weird not to have her here. Her sister (Maggie) looks behind her as she walks out the door to go potty like she expects her sister to be there. Maggie was always 'mine' growing up, and my mom got Peanut to be 'her' dog. I wasn't allowed to touch Peanut for the first few months that she was at our house because my mom was worried that she would attach herself to me just like Maggie had. She very much was attached to my mom's hip and became exactly what my mom had envisioned. She was such a good girl and was always happy to see her people.

| Oh, I'm so very sorry Peanuy is gone. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose our much loved childhood pet. I had a Peanut too growing up...the best dog ever! I was born while my dad was on his way home (truck driver) trying to make it in time....he stopped to tinkle and a momma dog had passed, but there was her newborn baby. My dad put her in his shirt against his chest and made it home, to a new daughter (me) and we had our wonderful Peanut for 14 years

| I'm just seeing this again. Saw it earlier and clicked on it but somehow lost my post and then it was gone and hadn't seen it since until today! Am so sorry about little Peanut. What a doll Peanut was. Such a darling face. I know how it hurts to lose old friends we've grown up with. My Tippy was such a dog who was part of my life from about age 2 till 18 so I can readily identify with how it hurts. R.I.P., little Peanut.
