| RIP Falcon Had to post this: We had to put down our 13 year old Yorkie Falcon in August. He was my mother's friend, who always stayed with her when she was sick. It killed her to have to put him down but he was so sick. We had gotten him from a pet store (I know) and he had seizures so the breeder said she would take him back and give us another puppy, but Falcon would be put to sleep. So we kept him. Over the years, he developed cataracts, Pancreatitis, Cushing's, luxating patellas, a collapsed trachea, liver disease, and finally went into cardiac arrest on August 3, 2011. We just couldn't see putting him through any more. He was constantly at the vet, always sick, and on a special diet. We did not want any more after our loss - but came across two rescues that needed a home. Now we have Jackson and Jagger and pray they remain healthy and that Falcon watches over them. It was the hardest thing for us to do, but we hope it was the right thing. Such a great little guy, and something very difficult to decide. Falcon - July 12, 1998- August 3, 2011 Thanks for having this section so I could post this It's been very difficult without Falcon |

| I'm so sorry you lost Falcon. You loved him and did everything possible to make his life better and I'm sorry you had to make such a hard decision to let him go. I hope Jagger and Jackson will help fill the emptiness he has left in your heart. May he rest in peace.

| I am sorry for your loss. Falcon sounds like he was a very special lil man, and very lucky to have a family that loved him so much and took very good care of him. It is never a easy decision. Hugs to you and your mom. Rest in peace Falcon.

| My heart goes out to you. The years of special care are a testament to your love for Falcon. I'm so sorry and I know how heartbroken you must be. I think the two little rescues are very lucky to come to your home to live. I hope they help to bring some happiness back into your life. I'm sure Falcon will be smiling down on them.

| Thanks to everyone for their messages This was the first dog my mom actually got to keep until the end and was with her when she was sick, so it was particularly difficult for her. I am in my early twenties now and had him from the time I was 8, so I grew up with Falcon. I am hoping these two little guys help us all heal. Thanks again |

| I know what a comfort our little babies are to us when we're sick. I just hate that your little one was so sick too. May little Falcon rest in peace and be healthy again. |

| Thanks again to everyone and sorry for the delay in response. Sadly, we had to put our cockatiel, Tucker, to sleep this past week. He was having trouble breathing and became paralyzed. The vet completely blamed the dogs for stressing him out, however our primary vet, insisted that this was not the case and that he was old and it was his time. I believe he had some type of respiratory illness, but it has been very tough. So that makes three deaths since August for us, Falcon, our cat Pepsi, and now Tucker. Thanks again, Mel |
