| I am glad you had your talk with the senior vet and are getting to the bottom of what happened to your baby. Maybe knowing that this likely won't happen again to any dog at that vet clinic or on the watch of any of the vets working there wherever they may practice, will help you a tiny bit as you grieve your little sweetie. I'll bet this horrible thing that happened with Ty will change the way they all proceed after any kind of cardiovascular or neurological event during pre-op. My prayers for God's solace for you continue.

| I can't begin to comprehend the pain and shock you must be feeling, or the reason why this happened as it did. I hope you can find some closure and comfort as time goes on. |

| I just went thru a fight and reporting a vet after she spayed my dog and pulled 7 teeth without anesthetic. This vet also said she made a "judgement call" to continue with the elective surgery, after knowing the anesthetic failed. If you want to you can private message me and I will tell you everything I have done so far and some things you may want to look into doing. I am so very sorry for your loss.

| I am so very sorry for your loss. Although nothing can bring your poor baby back, the steps you take now may help other pups that could be put through this experience. I would get all of the documentation from the surgery. Ask for all of this first, then ask for written statements from all who were there the day of your little one's surgery. Then see if you can get an appointment with another vet to review this information. If it is , as we all suspect, a negligent situation, you might want to consult a lawyer and decide on your next step. If the vet is as wrong in what he did as it seems, then he should be held liable. If you do not feel comfortable accepting money in a lawsuit, then perhaps the money could go to a yorkie rescue or shelter, or you might want to split it up. This is all assuming there is fault and you find a court that will find in your favor. If you have a good enough case, the vet might want to settle out of court. But I would want to make a stir so as to make an impact on his reputation so that others will not use him. The most important thing is to try to keep other puppies from experiencing this same heart-breaking loss of life. Sending condolences and praying for strength and perseverance to help you get through this grieving time. I am usually against litigation unless there is a clear cut case of negligence and/or serious malpractice. This certainly seems to be that case but you need to get the documentation. It still seems horribly unbelievable that this vet would continue on with the surgery after a cardiac arrest!!! Could he really be that callous and uncaring? If there are other factors that we are unaware of, then I am sorry for suggesting he was negligent. But I cannot think of any instance where this could have been the right course of action.

| I am so sorry to hear about the death of your sweet Ty. It is good that they accepted responsibility but that does nothing to ease your pain. I find it infuriating that anyone would go through with the procedure. These little dogs are known to experience problems with anesthesia so it is unfathomable that they would continue after cardiac arrest. Also their monitoring and safety protocol was flawed as well. My deepest condolences to you and your husband over this senseless tragedy. I know that reporting this will not change what has happened for you but hopefully it will prevent another owner from having to endure such heartbreak.

| I am so sorry for your loss. What a tragedy and one that should have never happened. They need to make things right as well as reinburse you for your yorkie although I know it could never take away the pain and hurt of losing little Ty. What in the world was this vet thinking? To go ahead with a procedure after cardiac arrest. ????? Unbelievable. I would never go back to him again. I would get my babies medical records and never look back. Again, I am so sorry. How sad. |
