We buried my Molly today... Well I knew this day had to come but sure wasnt ready...I was at work and my dh went to the vet to bring my baby home to her final resting spot. I can see her spot from my window which is real difficult today but I'm sure in the coming months and years , I may find comfort in that. She gave me so much in the 11 1/2 yrs she was with me, including my life. She never left my side during my darkest hrs and often skipped a meal to stay. I remember when hubby would come to take her out for a pee, she would look up at me as if to get my o.k. to go. I have this terrible guilt of not staying in the room with her at the end, I ran and ran till I collasped. I couldnt be there at the end, my husband stayed and held her. Molly, mommy is sorry but I loved you so much and couldnt do it, please forgive me and I'll see you at the rainbow bridge cause thats where I want to go. Rest in peace baby girl. |

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. We all handle death in different ways, some have a need to be there at the end and others just can't. I would suggest that you "bury" the guilt on top of Molly's grave and plant some flowers or a tree so that when you look out your window you will be reminded of the beauty that Molly brought into your life. |

aww Im sorry for your loss and your pain. Im sure she brought you much joy and will forever be in your heart. Dont feel guilty because you couldnt stay in the room, I couldnt do it with my springers either, had to have hubby do it. I didnt want them to pick up on my being upset, wanted it to be peaceful. Still felt guilt. |

I am so sorry for you loss. R.I.P. Molly When our last furbaby(poodle mix) passed away (actually someone shot him) I buried him in the spot he always seemed to like to get. He would always come over messing with me when I was in my flower bed. I put him there cause that to me was one of the places he knew meant alot to me and would always come over and sit and lay or play with me. I have a cross there and his special flowers there. He was such a sport. We love and miss him. |
From what you said of Molly, it sounds like she really loved you and knew you loved her too! I know how hard it can be to let go of guilt and hope you can do it as soon as you are ready and that you can have peace in your heart knowing you were a good mom to her and that she did know of your love because you were so good to her. I also truly believe that we will be able to be with our entire family again someday, and that includes the pets we loved. |

I know how hard it is. I was with my 17 yr old cat, Torie when she died and it was incredibly difficult. I found my Yorkie baby a few weeks later and it's amazing how much having her has helped. My thoughts are with you, feel better. |
Thankyou all so much.....My Molly actually went to the rainbow bridge in jan. and my vet was kind enough to keep her til now so we could bury her here at home. Yesterday felt exactly like the day she passed, I could not get a grip. But when I come here and read all your loving , caring messages, well I had great comfort in knowing I wasnt alone. I am getting another yorkie girl in May/June and her name will be Miley, which stands for Molly I Love You. I know she will never replace my Muffin , but hoping she will help with my healing. So Molly: Thankyou for all the love and devotion you showed me. I could not have asked for a more loving, faithful friend. My heart is broken baby girl and I miss you more than anyone knows but I know one day we will be together again, we have to, that is what will keep me stong. I buried you beside your yorkie brother Bawb, whom you never met and the only cat you liked here, Chuck. You are my precious, I told you every day, and I will never forget you. Rest in Peace now baby girl mommy loves you, Nite Nite. |
