I am so sorry for your loss.

Has anyone watched, it is either "I Survived" or "Survived" on one of the Discovery type channels? They occasionally have episodes on people who have died and come back. Usually it is the ball of light, watching resuscitation from the ceiling etc... but an episode the other day caught my imagination. This woman died, she was brain dead for almost 5 minutes. During that time she was on a long staircase, one end going so far down, presumably to her body, the other way up to light. Time stood still there, she felt perfect peace. They interviewed her doctor who corroborated everything she said..anyway, what caught me, was that the entire time she was on this staircase, dogs and cats were playing and going up and down this staircase. Cats were intertwining around her to be petted and dogs would look back at her as they ascended as if to say ''what are you waiting for, come on''. It was the first afterlife experience I had ever heard that mentioned pets. I thought it was fascinating. She did state that none of them were her pets, but I believe that had she gotten up and followed them she would have found hers. I believe these were pets that had just left their homes and were heading to the rainbow bridge, in the light. Perhaps the pets going down were those going to help their brothers and sisters on their journey up the staircase. Where Alexander, Becca and all our babies are waiting for us.

Be at peace now little man. Mommy will always love you so much.

You all mean so much to me. I really don't know what I would've done without you here to listen to me talk about Alexander. The other pups are such a comfort to me, but they know that Alex is gone and they're grieving, too. Every morning when I left for work, I'd tell the munchkins "Alexander is in charge. He's the boss until Mommy gets home." Now there's no Alexander......

Thanks for listening to me ramble.

I love you all,
Bonny
so sorry for your loss of alexander. i understand your pain, tears are flowing reading all this. we are still grieving the loss of our best friend nika who left us for rainbow bridge in august of this year. she was the love of my life and the best friend and dog i ever had and i've had dogs (mainly yorkies) my whole life. we shared a bond that is not even describable. i know you understand that bond. it sounds like you had it with alexander. its been almost 4 months and i still cry for her almost every morning i wake up without her right next to me on my pillow. i've been a wreck ever since she had to go. she never ever left my side and snuggled up to me in bed all night every night. it was almost like she knew in her heart we werent going to have too much time together so she didnt want me out of her sight. we lost her suddenly at the young age of 6.5 years old from pancreatitis. i didnt think we were going to lose her. i wish she couldve stayed with me forever, but i do feel she will be in spirit and in my heart. i'm sure she's my little angel looking out for me all the time. she was my yorkie zowi's only puppy she ever had. i had nika since the day she was born, and i still remember seeing her the first time on zowi's xray when she was pregnant and just knowing how special she was going to be. zowi and i help each others broken hearts heal. i know she understands why i am crying and i know she misses her little baby too. i always leave zowi "in charge" of the furkids when i leave, so that is so cute to hear that someone else does that too. i am thankful your alexander had a long life with a great momma who loves him whole-heartedly! it is so hard losing them. i would give anything to hold her and get kisses from her on my nose again. i am thankful we have other furbabies who we share a great love with and always will. each one will always have that special place in our hearts. you will be in my thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. alexander and nika are little angels playing together at rainbow bridge and i know we will we together again someday, forever. sending you a hug. the memories i have with her do make me happy and i am so grateful she was in my life and touched my heart so greatly, i'm sure you feel the same with your sweet little alexander. ~ hugs ~ carrie

I am so sorry about Alexander. It is so difficult to see them in that condition your heart just breaks for them. My 17 year old yorkie died in October and she was going through the same thing. It's so difficult to lose your best friend I'm still crying I miss her so much. Prayers and Hugs

I know I haven't been posting much, but I have been here reading, and following Alexander's thread. Your prayers, kindness, support and generosity have touched me beyond words. It's in times like this that I realize how much YT and it's members mean to me.

Alexander was a special, special little man and I'm glad you've let me share a little bit of him with you.

Hugs and blessings,
Bonny

Thank you so much for sharing him with us. I truly believe that this community, and certainly me personally, is much better off after having "known" sweet Alexander and his very special mom. Please take good care of yourself.

R.I.P. Alexander. Your mommy loves you very much and will miss you. Your siblings will miss you too. We will all miss hearing about you here on YT. Please watch over and guard those you left behind until you meet again someday.

I'm so sorry Bonny. I know how much you love your pups. It is evident in every post I've ever read by you (and being such an active part of the community, we all know that's a lot of love!). I'll send prayers of healing for you during this hard time. Hang in there!
