Yesterday morning we took our Gracie out to potty and as every normal day I let her play abit with my kids when she has done her business.

Gracie was all excited with the leaves falling and was runnng with the boys and playing.

My 2 year old tripped just as Gracie ran in front of him. He feel right on Gracie......he broke her neck.

We are all devastated.

Oh no! How old was your baby Gracie? That is such an awful accident but that's just what it was. These babies are so fragile when they're small. My heart goes out to you and your family.

OMG...HOW TRAGIC ! I am so so sorry to read this....It's another reminder how fragil our babies are and how fast something can happen....My condolences to you - that's very sad.

Rest in peace little Gracie Adorabelle ....You have such a pretty name and I know the other Rainbow Bridge babies will welcome you with open arms....you can chase all the leaves you want now sweetie.....

I am so sorry for your loss, but as sad as it is about Gracie, I am more worried about your child. I hope he is O.K. I hope he can be made to understand that it was a tragic accident and not his fault. My prayers are with your family.

I had to post this for you in case you haven't seen it - It's the most beautiful tribute to our pets lost and gone......This is for Little Gracie .....

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

I am so sorry about your baby. We lost our Gracie in February in a tragic accident. A fluke like yours. My Gracie will look after your Gracie at the Rainbow Bridge. I talk to her all the time and I'll ask her to. I know I sound crazy, but I know she is in heaven waiting on us to get there.
