I am so devastated! She was just 3 months old.

I am so so sorry to hear about your sophie!! I can't imagine that the emergency hospital didn't keep her. I have no idea why they would send her home. That just sounds so irresponsible of them!!! My Teddi had a liver shunt and she had to be in the emergency hospital for 3 days before they let her out. A few hours does not seem enough at all!! I'm so sorry.

so sorry - i hate that this disease runs so rampid in this breed and the maltese breed - so heart breaking

I am so sorry to hear your story, the same thing had happened to me. We adopted a dorkie we had her for about 5 months.She was diagnosed with multiple liver shunts and was unoperateable. It was one of the sadest things I have ever seen. My heart goes to you!

I am so sorry about your Sofie. My baby boy, Tyson, had the same problem. We went to the vet and he was fine. Growling and biting the vets but 3 hours later he started to vomit. So, we took him back to the vet the very next day and he didn't growl or bite and the vets actually wanted him to bite them. lol He became weak and started pressing his head on walls and looking into space for minutes (which is a sign). he was only 1 and we decided to put him down. We tried really really hard and when we took him to the vet, he knew and went straight to Dr. Matz. I stood next to him touching his paw, it was hard seeing him take his last breath. It is still hard for me to look at his grave in the backyard in the middle of the garden. I miss my baby boy, TYSON.

I am so sorry for your loss i just lost my baby at only 6 weeks old we can cry together and may be it will help the pain and just think our babies are setting there on that rainbow bridge waiting on us, I am sending you so much love and you are in my prayers.
