| I'm so sorry for you and your sweet baby. It was wonderful that she was able to pass on her own in her own home. It's so terrible when we have to be the one to make that decision for them. RIP little baby. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. I to lost my girl Muffin (03-22-10). I wonder how she is doing everyday and if I loved her enough. I have all her things in the den and yet still can not part with them. Her ashes are in the box on her bed which helps me at night as I always says Good night to her. I know you loved them so much the pain is unbearable. I am glad she got to spend the last remaining hours with you and you with her. You will remember this always. |

You loved muffin as much as you could. You can tell by how much they loved you back. When they were both well used to drive up to the house and get out of the car. We would close the car door and listen for a while. They would go nuts and we smiled because they knew we were home. When Heather was alone and blind I used to walk through the door as quiet as I could. She would poke her nose in the air and sniff and then her tail would wag like crazy. It is love when they get happy just from your scent. I always will wonder if I could have done more to keep them here longer, but I have decided to let them be where they are and without pain so that they can wait for me to join them.

Thank you. I am so glad that she passed at home and that it was fairly quick. I am also glad that I didn't have to make a decision. I think she knew that. She wasn't the smartest dog, compared to the yorkie, but she was a very good dog. We kind of had a special bond. She was very special.

| Thank you all The attachment is the last picture I have of them together. This was a few days before Bonnie passed away. She was under her blanky with just her sticking her nose out, being a goof ball, but those picks didn't take, but once she was asleep I took this picture. I am so glad that I did. Thank you all for the nice replies. |

| Today, I got a call from a foster mom. I was just about to light the charcoal for the traditional 4th grilling. We hopped into the truck and drove about 100 miles to the foster mom's house. Met the dog, signed the forms, and now we have a wonderful dog. He is a scotty/cairn mix. He is not what I was looking for, but when I saw him, I knew. He is the best behaved dog that I have ever seen. Our cat even likes(tolerates) him. He was rescued from the wild apparently, but, he's not like a wild dog. He is however, a very smart dog. He supposedly doesn't like men, but he has followed me all night(could be the chicken that I give him). Anyway, I am happy to announce that I have a new family member, and his name is Skip. I no longer have a Yorkie family member, but, I love the breed, so I will visit you guys as usual. P.S. The foster mom was sad when we took him. I told her that I would love to do what she does, but I would end up keeping them all. She said, she finds solace, just by saving another dog. I thanked her for what she did. Please support foster groups. Last edited by Grendel; 07-04-2010 at 07:03 PM. |

| I have seen his statue, I used to live just outside of Edinburgh. I think I have a Greyfriars Bobby here. I just hope I live long enough that he doesn't have to visit my grave, lol. |

| Haha. I was born in Edinburgh (though now a Californian). I've read there's an arguement whether he was a skye or a Carin Terrior which is why I thought of Greyfriars when I saw your wee skip. Regardless, you can't beat a Scotty. So glad you have a new pal. xo |
