| Simba, passed away 05/29/09, it is hard. Hello, I am new to this and not even sure what I am doing. I had my little Simba for 12-1/2 years, the love of my life. I am a medical transcriptionist and work out of my home, so needless to say, I was with my baby 24/7. It has been almost two months, and it is getting no easier. I cry constantly, and my heart feels like it has broken completely forever. I really do not believe it will get any easier, at least that is how I feel at this point. Thank you for letting me talk about my baby Simba (although 12-1/2 years). |

| I am so very sorry for your loss. In time it will get easier but for now, let yourself grieve. Just remember all the joy you shared with your little and let those memories keep you warm. It is never easy to say good bye. RIP Samba. Hugs to you.

| I am so sorry for your heart ache! I hope you allow yourself to grieve. Losing a pet is no different than losing a skin loved one. Maybe it would help if you were able to share with us more stories about Simba. Maybe celebrate his life and his memory.. we'd love to hear or read about Simba's funny quirks or the cute things he did.

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | I am so sorry for your loss of Simba. I lost my yorkie on 6/1. I still cry and mourn that little guy. They are such precious angels aren't they. I'm hoping that the crying eases off soon. I know I'll never forget him. I try to think of him up at the Rainbow Bridge running around and causing all sorts of trouble that's really the only way that I can cope with his loss.

| Woodrum, Patti, and Cynsir, I'm sorry that all of you lost a dear friend. Those of us who have been through this understand the pain you are feeling right now. Patti's comment about opening your heart to another one is what helped me the most. The new dog would never replace the one you lost, but they can bring some joy back into your life. It has to be when the time is right for you. I have had to say goodbye to many dear fur babies in my 50 plus years. You will never forget them. A time will come when you'll be able to smile at a memory, and not feel the pain you are feeling right now. Sending "hugs" your way. |

| It really is hard to lose a fur baby. I'm so sorry for you. It does get better though. I have Toby now because my 13 year old lab passed away. About a month later my brother said "I'm getting you that yorkie you always wanted." I said "NO I don't want him right now" I lost the battle and I'm so glad I did...and so are all the other mourners in my house including the other dog who I think was the most depressed. She's been much better now that there's another friend in the house even though we all still miss Hunter. |
