| Toto lost her beloved "fwiend" .... ... and two families are devistated. Some of you may remember my posting about Toto's giant "big bwack wab fwiend" Kena. She had gotten so old and was in so much pain that her parents had to make the loving decision to let her go. Even though you know that it's time, nonetheless, the decision always breaks your heart. Kena, although she was much larger than Toto, was such a wonderful friend to Toto and looked after her like a "mama hen". Kena was spoiled and pampered by our friends much like we spoil our Yorkies. They traveled extensively and Kena was their constant companion. These last few months, we all knew we didn't have a lot of time left with her. They tried everything there is out there in the veterinary world to improve her quality of life, but there was just nothing more that could be done to make her comfortable. Every time we went to visit and even though it was a slow painful struggle for her, she would always manage to hobble out to us to give kisses and greet us and snuggle Toto with her great big nose. We dread our next trip there, knowing we won't have that precious greeting and the feel of her sweet kisses. Rest In Peace, gentle giant, you were loved and will be missed.

| Bettyeanne, I would like to send my deepest condolences to you, Patrick, Toto and Kena's family. Losing a dear sweet friend leaves such a huge black hole in your heart. Thank you for the picture, she has such beautiful kind eyes, it is easy to see why she was so loved. Rest in Peace, dear Kena. Your parents must have loved you so very much for making the unselfish decision to release you from your suffering. |

| Please give Kena's family my condolences. Just looking at Kena's picture tells a lot. She looks so kind and happy. Her teeth are so white you know that someone loved her enough to care for her. She was so beautiful! I am so sorry that Toto has to experience this loss. R.I.P. Kena. ~Joanne~

| Thank you all so much. I really appreciate it and I know our friends, Frank & Yone' will. Toto is such a strange little girl. We were so shocked that she socialized/bonded so well with Kena and absolutely will not with little Yorkies or any other small animal. One thing I didn't mention about Kena ... she was a rescue. She just had the most precious spirit about her. Frank & Yone's daughter had a beautiful golden that I have also posted pictures of and he died about a month ago. He loved to visit his "Grandparents" high up on a beautiful mountain in Colorado. Next month when their daughter and her family visit, we will have a memorial service for both Kena & Hunter and will scatter their ashes on the beautiful mountain where they loved to run and play! Everyone's heart is just so sad.

| Bettye, I'm so very sorry. I ran across a few YT Xmas cards a couple nites ago and your's was one of them. As I was looking at the back of the card at Kena's pic, the only thing I could think of was what a loving face she has and how lucky Toto is to have Kena watching over her. Now it's Kena's turn to let the angels watch over her. Heavenly peace, sweet Kena. The angels will be fighting over which one gets to scratch you behind your ears and rub your tummy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

| Thank you all so very much. This has been the absolute worse month I can remember in a very long time. My "daughter-in-love" lost her Dad to a long battle with cancer on the 11th in Florida, our sweet, sweet Kena on the 12th and then on the 18th we lost my friend, the "Sister of my heart", Trish and I am just so finished with June, 2009. I cannot imagine my life without her. I would like to sleep until July 1. I will relay all your sweet condolences to Kena's Mom & Dad and we appreciate your prayers so much. I have never seen a man grieve so deeply for an animal.
